Review for Happy Elephant, Koh Samui
Our experience at Happy Elephant in Koh Samui was absolutely outstanding! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, setting the tone for a fantastic evening. The service was incredibly efficient, with the team ensuring everything was perfect from start to finish.
The food was simply exquisite. We started with a tuna dish, followed by an indulgent lobster, along with a beautifully presented appetizer platter and a fresh, flavorful salad. To top it off, we enjoyed stir-fried noodles with shrimp, which were cooked to perfection. Every dish was prepared with great attention to detail, using high-quality ingredients that truly elevated the flavors.
The ambiance was equally delightful, creating the perfect setting for an unforgettable dining experience. Everything about our visit was flawless—highly recommended for anyone looking for exceptional seafood and great service...
Read moreWe had the new year's menu. Three courses at 1200 baht. First course was seared tuna which our company of 12 thought was OK but nothing special, second course we chose two different courses, pork and turkey. Disaster. Both dry as dirt, destroying the dish although gravy and sides where ok. Wine was ordered and, white accompanied the first dish. Definitely an OK white wine, but the waiter dripped some on my hand. Red for the main dish, good wine but still, wine dripped on my hand and shoulder. Once refill came it was obvious it was stored in the white wine ice bucket with a temperature not suitable for the wine.. Guess I'll be washing tonight.

We ordered sea bass, pumpkin soup, watermelon shake.
The fish was well cooked, delicious, large portions as always. The mashed potato were dark and not tasty, as if it had been made yesterday and they had forgotten to put it in the refrigerator. The watermelon shake was made from an old bad watermelon that had already started to ferment. The staff didn't immediately want to change the drink, but in the end they removed it from our bill and changed it for a fresh coconut. Pumpkin soup tastes more like vegetable or potato soup and is served without decoration and bread.
For a restaurant of this level - bad, considering that we have already been to this restaurant several times before and know...
