Recently, I was searching for an authentic Chinese acupuncturist on Samui and stumbled upon Sadanan Acupuncture & Wellness through a Google search. Intrigued by the glowing reviews, I decided to visit the clinic.
Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by Bell, the receptionist. Although they didn’t have an immediate opening, Bell kindly suggested I return at noon. I appreciated the accommodating attitude.
When I came back, I met Dr. Toy, who immediately made me feel at ease with her warm and welcoming demeanor. Her assistant took me to a treatment room and started by taking my vitals. This being my first visit, it included a comprehensive consultation, since I was receiving treatments as well.
Dr. Toy’s proficiency in English was a pleasant surprise, (she even has some French understanding too) allowing for smooth communication. She attentively listened to my complicated medical history, meticulously noting key details. After understanding my situation, she offered to provide treatment the same day.
Dr. Toy explained the traditional Chinese approach to addressing health issues, focusing on treating the root cause rather than just the symptoms, as often seen in North American allopathic medicine. She provided insightful recommendations to improve my overall health based on her findings.
I wholeheartedly recommend Sadanan Acupuncture & Wellness to anyone seeking solutions for idiopathic issues that conventional medicine has failed to resolve. Dr. Toy, trained in China, embodies the principles of traditional Chinese medicine. Her delightful personality, caring nature, and excellent bedside manner are truly commendable. She is also quite humorous, making the experience even more pleasant.
Having just completed my second treatment, including cupping, I can attest to the effectiveness of her methods. While acupuncture might seem daunting to some, my extensive experience with it, including weekly sessions for two years, emphasizes the importance of a skilled practitioner. Dr. Toy’s expertise in applying needles to the body’s meridians ensured a painless and comforting experience.
I look forward to continuing my treatments with Dr. Toy and am optimistic about the benefits...

Read moreI don't recommend this clinic. Doctor was so nice and understanding the first session and I immediately bought a pack of 10 sessions. I think after 2 sessions I didn't see her anymore. She just came to put the needles on me, barely talked and let her staff take the needles out.
She treats 3 or 4 patients at the same time and only has a few mins to spend with you. No greetings when I left or whatsoever, just felt treated like trash.
I got 1 free cupping from her and felt so hurt during the whole treatment. After this cupping I couldn't lay on my back for a week (!!). Also showering hurt a lot. She said it's normal after cupping. I asked other massage therapists and TCM doctors and they said cupping is not supposed to hurt, that my back was full of bruises because the cups were too tight. I feel like she has no clue wat she's doing with cupping or at least doesn't care about...
