Seaside Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Ko Tao

I Dont understand why many says that this place is a must when you go to Koh Tao.

For us, Yes if you JUST want to enjoy the view which was stunning but do not expect to enjoy your food.

They had Angus Burger on the menu so we ordered that along with one thai men u and a draft beer.

It took forever to serve even though there only was us and another table with one person.

Once they served it, the bread was dry and the meat was still frozen inside. Some of the French fries were stone hard and cold and some were not even warmth.

As for thai food, it tastes good but doesnt taste like it should. It was like they made it looks like the menu that I ordered but the taste was another thai menu.

The draft beer, they only had 1 kind and it was from a can. They didnt told us the price in the beginning so we found out in the end that the price for the beer in a can was 250thb!.

It was awful. The only thing we enjoyed was the view, cola and water.

The price here is higher than other restaurants in Koh Tao as well, it was like we went there just to throw our money but you just cant eat the food you ordered.

They could have suggested another menu if they were not ready to serve the burger but instead they just served it as it is.

We head out to a local thai restaurant afterwards where the price was 4times cheaper and tasted 1000times better...

A truly disappointing experience. I ordered a fried crab omelette and ended up with something ridiculously greasy on my plate. It was so oily it was basically inedible ; like they had just ladled frying oil straight onto the dish. I sent it back and got soup instead, which was pretty good hopefully.

But the best part ? They still charged me for the omelette. When I pointed out that it was inedible and asked for at least a small gesture, I was told the dish was "normal"... and that I should’ve said it was my first time trying it. Seriously? Do I need to go through an interrogation before ordering?

Top it off with a lukewarm coconut that tasted like it had been stored in a dusty cupboard, and you’ve got the full picture. For a hotel restaurant that’s on the pricey side, it was borderline absurd. A memorable experience… but for all the...

Everything is outstanding!! The food is incredible, we had thai dishes as well as European dishes and they were all amazing. So tasty, full of flavor and a delight to eat. Then, the service!! Oh, the service!! Our waiter - Mike - was so knowledgeable and patient! He gave us so many recommendations on what’s great on their menu and everything he told us to try was fantastic. Then, his patience to explain everything was amazing. Such a sweet person too! The music and atmosphere were also perfect. Laid back but also upscale, very nice decor all around and it was so nice to have dinner by the sea. I bet the sunsets are fantastic as well. Highly recommend this place to anyone...
