Do not walk past this gem of a restaurant if you enjoy burgers and are feeling peckerish for something different while in Thailand.
My husband (a chef for 18 years so far) and I went on our honeymoon to Ao Nang in July 2023. By coincidence, I came across Burger Daddy on Google Maps while scrolling for something to eat. My husband is overly fond of burgers, so even though I wanted to eat as much authentic Thai food as possible while we were here, I thought the name was fun, and so I partly jokingly said we should go if we wanted something a bit different one of the days. They had good reviews, and we got intrigued, so fast forward a couple of days, and we decided to go, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. It was one of the best decisions of our whole trip. (And we came back/ordered delivery again, and again, aaand again..😂)
When we got inside, everything about the place was exactly everything my husband loves: the style, the music, fun and interesting pictures on the walls, a nice, not too big or too small menu, really lovely people working there, and the boss himself, the kindest, most welcoming guy, so visibly passionate about his work. We ordered a build-your-own burger, and I will never forget the gleeful smile on my husband's face when he ate the burger. It was so well balanced, so juicy, so tender, perfectly seasoned, just so tasty, and one of the best burgers we've ever had. We live in Trondheim, Norway, which is a city that really loves its burgers. We have so many burger restaurants with high quality burgers, so we have gotten quite picky about burger quality when eating out, and this burger does not disappoint!
But I need to sidetrack from the burgers to my absolute favorite item on the menu. Their sloppy Joe. It is the best sloppy Joe we've ever had, ever. It is a simple piece of absolute quality and balance. After trying it, I've had dreams about this sloppy Joe ever since we left Ao Nang. I miss the sloppy Joe so much that I've tried recreating it at home so many times until I lost the flavors in my head. And I just can't get it right.
I'd also recommend following their Facebook page, as they post tempting food pictures, limited edition items, and secret menu items (that's how we found out about the Sloppy Joe before it got added to the menu), and they are so good at updating their page. My husband still likes everything they post on Facebook now, 8 months later, and he -never- does that to -anything-, and that to me says a lot.
We have now traveled back to Ao Nang 8 months after our honeymoon, and the memory of the sloppy Joe was exactly as good as what we got, and I can't wait to come back to Burger Daddy these next few weeks and eat the food again, and again, aaand again.
I wanted to write this review as soon as we got home, but life happened, and I never got around to it until now.
I can truly only recommend that you try this place...

My first time trying out their new location since the brilliant ‘Get Baked’ moved locations and metamorphosed into the confidentially named ‘Burger Daddy.’
Love the new location, parking the car is a dream in comparison to their previous spot and they have a few tables outside comfortably offset a few metres from the road side which are lovely to sit at in the early hours of the evening. They have nicely decorated the interior and have a kitchen bar to sit at, which I personally love if I am dining alone.
I actually ended up going two days in a row because there were just too many things we wanted to try.
First day, we ordered their classic ‘Meat Lovers’ pizza. I can confirm the pizza is as good and if possible, better than it previously was. A sigh of relief that in my opinion they retained the level of quality and consistency that still has me proclaiming them the undisputed King of pizza in Krabi.
Second day we went back for the new event, the burgers. When it comes to burgers, I am one difficult & picky customer to please. I’ve eaten burgers the world around and having spent 25 years in the Food & Beverage business, like to tell myself I know what’s good.
The burgers at Burger Daddy are brilliant, sensational even. I’ve nothing else to add to that except to say their burgers would easily stand up against any of Bangkoks beloved burger bars and indeed the most frequented burger institutions in NYC or London.
My GF had never tried chilli cheese fries before now and I now have an instant chilli cheese fries addict to contend with.
I’m so happy that Get Baked evolved into Burger Daddy. I am so so happy food of such great quality, consistently made to the highest standards offered at such great prices exists in Krabi, a province which is depressingly renowned for the total mediocracy and overpricing of its food.
I’ll be back very very soon. There is still a load of new stuff on the menu I need...
Read more100% legit American Smashburgers and New York style Pizza served in a very comfortable and nicely decorated Diner that is complete with classic Pacman arcade games (and aircon). Especially the pizza was a real treat! Absolutely perfect crust. Zesty sauce. Best I've had in a long time!
Also loved the Buffalo Wings and Detroit Chili Dog. Sloppy Joe was good. Only disappointment was the Cheesy Fries, which are no longer the same as in the very American ones shown in the older pics here on Google. Lemonade was great! No Arnold Palmer or beers available.
We also ordered burgers once to our hotel via the Line app (Thailand's Uber). That is super convenient, but the full menu isn't available on Grab (for example, no Carolina Burger), and they ignored a request to add jalapeños to the burger, despite it being listed as a "free topping". So I think it's better to visit in person.
As an 18-year resident of Thailand, I know firsthand that it can be difficult to find an awesome burger outside of Bangkok, but this one's as good as any I've had. Top notch.
Be warned, however, they want 10% surcharge to use a credit card, which is the highest fee I've...
