I'm accusing host that women are inferior to men. After visiting several times, I visited again because my son said he was hungry at night. I ordered two noodle, and my wife and I ate it together. Host only gave two spoons and chopsticks, and my wife picked one in the chopsticks basket and the male owner hit my wife's hand and said something like "Go away" in Thai. The women who work look at them with pity, and the woman who seems to be a wife says something, and the owner of the man screams... I was ambrassed and asked for chopsticks to him, and he politely gave it to me. He must be a master with a strong male-dominated attitude. It tastes like a combination of beef and chicken broth for it's base with hints of star anise, cloves and cinnamon. The sen lek is the best noodle option to go with this strong flavoured broth (not so dissimilar to kru chap soup, another Thai dish which has Teochew chinese origins and is pork and innards based).
