Roi Thai Restaurant — Restaurant in Krabi Province

Truly terrible, especially considering Jai Dee is two doors away and exceptional. The food was completely bland, which is quite an achievement for Thai cuisine, they brought half our dishes but no cutlery, then a further ten minutes until we received, without apology or explanation, eating utensils and the remaining dishes. By this point the other food was cold and had to be sent back. We complained that the food lacked any flavour or spice but they misunderstood and made a "milder" version of the curry. After further explanation they made it slightly spicier but still without any flavour at all and didn't check on us once despite the issues.

They attempted to explain away the bad food on the basis that they are catering to sensitive tourist palates, but there really is no excuse for it to be as lacking in taste. Very expensive for what it is, really poor service and just no reason to go here given the alternatives.

A shame that they are taking up valuable beach front real estate and not caring about their clientele or the product they put out. As a regular diner in all range of eateries, this ranks up there with my worst...
