We went around 8pm on a quietish night. We were sat on a table for two at the edge of the restaurant with the seats facing the street, so you couldn’t feel the atmosphere of the restaurant.
Service was ok and friendly, but when we had a problem with the food, communication became difficult.
We ordered falafel and shrimp cakes to start, and the cakes were dry.
For main, I ordered the Regina pizza and my wife ordered the pork chop. The chop was way over cooked and over seasoned. We told the waitress and she went to rectify the issue, but instead of ordering a fresh dish, had the chop cooked even more. Thankfully, we had google translate to help us, so they we were able to send the food back, so we could get a fresh chop. 20 mins passed while I ate my dinner and my wife waited for hers. However, when it came back again, it was still very over seasoned and difficult to eat.
All this time, the manager of the restaurant would speak to the waitress to see what the problem was but didn’t approach us at any point to apologise.
When we finally came to pay the check/bill, no amendments were made for the issue. Also, I tried to pay the bill using Apple Pay, but was told that I couldn’t as the bill was 1,500 THB! Thankfully we had a physical card so we could pay, but this seemed very odd for such a small amount…and for a restaurant that is trying to be more ‘high end’ than those on the...
Read moreOkay, having dined out in multiple places in Krabi/Ao Nang, I can confidently declare that this is the best restaurant in the entire district.
Everything here is wonderful: as other reviewers have stated, you'll get the warmest welcome here. From the moment you walk through the door, you'll be greeted with smiles and good vibes. Honestly Sea Salt is an almost hidden gem - you could walk by and easily miss it. Just walk up the hill from the beach and look out on the left-hand side of the road. If you're up for beautiful sunset views, cool sixth-floor breezes and the best food in Ao Nang, look no further 😄
You could try other Mediterranean cuisine restaurants in the area, but you will most likely end up with cheap food that tastes of nothing. If you want the best dining in Ao Nang, just come to Sea Salt. The French chef is superb, the staff are amazing and the lady with the stars neck tattoo mixes the absolute BEST cocktails. There are really good vegetarian options available here too. The margarita pizza is damned fine and the leek and mushroom ravioli runs a close second to the pizza for me. But you could basically pick anything from the menu and be in foodie heaven.
We dined here three times during our holiday. Suggest you follow the same 🥂

Read moreAmazing views, great service! Food is fresh. Restaurant modern and clean. Theres are lots of dishes and drinks to choose from. The service was really quick, since we were the only customers at that moment. It was easy to find (find sea salt hotel and take the elevator to the 6th floor).
Atmosphere: The restaurant very clean and modern looking, with some plants and some really beautiful plates. There was a bit of a breeze due to open sides of the restaurant but that is no problem and actually quite pleasant for this weather. Although a mini table trashcan could possibly help keep used napkins and straw packaging from getting picked up by the wind.
The food: We felt like the potato didn’t really contain enough cheese/flavour (we are a bit biased because the garlic cheese potato at the night market is so good and tasty haha), and so they gave us an extra bowl of cheese for free. The ravioli was also good and fresh but the sauce was not too special in my opinion.
The price: I think the prices are a bit higher than average for the area, but it’s definitely worth it for the view and the great service. The staff was very friendly and made sure...
