During my 4-day stay in Krabi, I had the pleasure of dining at Zipi, The Best Pancake Restaurant.
I indulged in the mouthwatering banana Nutella and banana chocolate pancakes. They were crispy, warm, and perfectly complemented by fresh ripe bananas. The flavors were simply delightful.
In addition to their amazing pancakes, Zipi also serves Indian and Thai cuisine. During my two visits, I focused on trying their Thai dishes. The seafood Tom Yum soup was a standout. The seafood was fresh, and the Tom Yum had an authentic and spicy flavor that pleased my taste buds. As someone who has had plenty of Tom Yum in Malaysia, I must say that the version at Zipi surpassed my expectations.
I also ordered the deep-fried squid, which initially seemed slightly burnt. However, the taste was fantastic, with a crispy texture and well-seasoned coating. I enjoyed it with Thai chili sauce. On my first visit, I had the pleasure of trying the stir-fried melinjo veg with egg, a dish I had never tasted in Malaysia. It was delicious, and the sauce used in the stir-fry perfectly complemented the flavors of the vegetables and egg. I paired these dishes with a refreshing Thai cold drink, Thai tea, which provided a nice balance of sweetness.
On my second visit, I opted for the steamed sea bass with lime. The fish had no fishy smell, and the combination of lime and chili was a delightful addition. The use of galanga and lemongrass added a lovely aroma. My wife, who usually doesn't enjoy this dish in Malaysia, loved it. We also ordered the mango salad with crunchy anchovies, which was a delicious mix of flavors. While the mango seemed overly ripe for a salad initially, it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The level of spiciness was just right, and the salad had a satisfying crunch. We couldn't resist trying the deep-fried prawns, which were generously coated in a crunchy buttery crust. The prawns were large and fresh, making them a delightful treat.
To accompany our meal, we enjoyed Thai green tea and Thai coffee. The total cost for our meals came to 720 baht, which we found to be reasonable and affordable considering the quality and taste of the dishes.
Overall, Zipi is a wonderful restaurant that offers a wide range of delicious and affordable meals. From their delectable pancakes to their flavorful Thai dishes, every bite was a delight. The restaurant provides a pleasant dining experience with a diverse menu and friendly service. If you find yourself in Ao Nang, Krabi, make sure to visit Zipi for a satisfying meal that...

Their Tom Yum soup is a must-try, bursting with classic spicy-sour notes, and the Pad Thai is perfectly executed. The shop itself is small and cozy, offering only limited seating. However, this doesn't detract from the experience. The service is good, and most importantly, the food tastes excellent.
A huge plus is the *convenient payment system. They accept both QR payments and cash. Using my Touch 'n Go e-wallet via QR was incredibly easy and fast, making the transaction seamless.
