Spaghetti House — Restaurant in Krabi Province

The portions were small and the quality was not impressive (I can do the same at home). For the price I expected more. Worst of all was the owner/manager. He was standing uncomfortably close all the time (I constant had the feeling he was looking over my shoulder when I was eating), but when asked for something called his staff to do. He's just standing and not doing anything while his staff was obviously busy. We were with 5 people and all felt uncomfortable while having our dinner.

I would like to add the ORIGINAL reply of the owner to this review (also see my screenshot). It was changed later to a more polite version.

"Good I will stand even close next time do regards like you never come back. What you expected is irrelevant. If you can do the same at home you should do that. Assuming your home is in Tha... "

Unfortunately this is all that was previews in the response email. But he went on to make a suggestion for me and my family to move to Austria as euthanasia is legal there.

I assume he realized that his own words might be even more damaging to his own business then my words. It only empowers my judgement of his character and the display of hospitality in this place.

And I had a good laugh ;)

I seem to remember I had a pasta, but it could also have been a pizza Hawaii...

2023 UPDATE: everything below still applies proving this restaurant to be of consistent quality. Unfortunately I still didn't manage to get many food photos because it's far too tempting and gets devoured quickly!

This Italian food was so so tasty, easily up there with the best I've eaten over my time.

We had a pasta dish, caprese salad and a pizza. Every single dish was fresh and clearly using great quality ingredients. The mozzarella was creamy and delicious, the pasta was brilliant with the garlic and chilli giving a great punch to the dish and the pizza was a traditional stone baked type, fluffy crust and well proportioned toppings.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, we changed a couple of dishes to our taste which was no issue for them. We got some great advice about the local area and our trip to Railay Beach also.

We will be returning, mostly so I can get some more photos; the food didn't stay on the plate long enough to get many shots!

i really can’t say enough about this place. pretty impressed from the moment my wife and i walked up. greeted by the owner showed us the menu, not pushy like the rest of the restaurants on the strip. nice to see the owner confident and proud of his establishment and his food speaks for its self. so welcoming. as we walked up stairs we were greeted by the well trained staff that obviously were just as happy to be there as i was. refreshing! the menu was easy to navigate. our drink order was taken and when the drinks showed up some complimentary bread (still warm from the oven i may add) did too. some oil and balsamic vinegar made short work of that. my wife had the caprese salad which had the most perfectly ripened tomatoes you could imagine with tons of fresh mozzarella cheese and basil and amazing vinaigrette sauce. i had the spinach and ricotta cheese ravioli that was cooked to perfection.
