TinGrill restaurant — Restaurant in Krabi Province

Terrible - don’t go there. This was probably the worst restaurant experience I had in Thailand so far. Staff members don’t speak English(beyond very basic), which is expected with this price point. We waited 20 minutes for drinks. I can understand waiting for food, but Coca Cola and coffee? I ordered an espresso. Waiter brought me regular americano/coffee with milk. In addition to that milk was spoiled all over the cup. They didn’t check nor they were interested. I asked for change - waited another 10 minutes. We ordered 2 steaks with sides. My sides (fries, salad) did not arrive with the steak. I got incorrect sides or some additions (vegetables and mash potatoes). They told me they will bring them asap - was able to easily finish steak and wait 5+ more minutes when they brought 1 of missing sides. Simply awful. I ordered medium-rare wagyu strip. They brought me steak that was rare (photo). But worst part is that it was quite COLD. Like it waited for 5-10 minutes before brining to me? The prices are quite high for Thailand, yet service is very slow and not professional. If you order steak for /kg price, they will just bring you the size they want. No one come to you to confirm that your piece will be eg 300 g. So if you order it - you can get 330 g or 650 g. You will not known till it’s served and bill come. This is below expectations with this price point.

To summarize: Absolutely terrible, awful and very very bad experience....

I was both shocked and happy to discover TinGrill as it’s been open nearly 2 years and until now had completely evaded my attention.

I went with my partner for dinner last night and I extremely pleased to add this little gem to the list of restaurants I frequent when ever I am in Krabi.

The service was on point, friendly and attentive without being intrusive.

We started with the Kaprow Beef Brisket, the quality of the meat and flavour were both excellent, if I was being critical, perhaps a little on the sweet side for me but that is so subjective.

The slow cooked beef cheek was a dream, it just fell apart and melted in the mouth like butter. The accompanying mashed potatoes were like silk.

The spicy BBQ wings were exactly as described and were quickly consumed served with lovely slices of pickled onions to cut through the sauce.

We also ordered 2 side dishes, a salad which my partner couldn’t get enough of, the dressing was fantastic. And garlic bread with cheese, which while being perfectly acceptable, did not stand up to the exceptional quality of the other dishes we tried.

We had a couple of large bottles of beer and some water and the meal came in a little over 1,000thb.

A very enjoyable evening, I highly recommend everyone to give it try. I saw some steaks being cooked over charcoals on the BBQ outside while eating and they looked absolutely sensational, will certainly be back soon to try more...

Me and my girlfriend have experienced this place 3 times while at our stay in Krabi. The first 2 experiences were very good, however, tonight’s experience was terrible. Never have I been in a restaurant and felt so disrespected. We came out to eat together, we ordered 2 meals and one of our meals came out, followed by the other meal 25mins later (not able to eat together). I made the waitress aware, she said it’s because they have a big table, taking no accountability for the fact it is their fault for the poor timing of both dishes coming out at different times and saying that I should be okay with that poor level of service that isn’t the customers fault! I got the impression that we are below the big table and shouldn’t receive the same service as them. I made it very clear how we felt, and the experience we had and they brought over some “complementary fruit” and gave us 10% off.
