(Germany text below) This restaurant offers you the best authentic Egyptian cuisine for a moderate price and nice service. You will not hear often a statement like this from a mixed Egyptian Swiss couple, even for restaurants in Egypt. The lamb ribs were juicy and grilled medium as ordered, the baked mousa leg of lamb was also tender and juicy. The Koschari, the Beriani rice and the Molochea as well as the other side dishes tasted excellent and the Omali was one of the best ever. Officially there is no barley juice, but of course there is always an 'unofficial' for an Egyptian. There are also numerous fish dishes, but for critical fish lovers it is advisable to choose the fish yourself. Unfortunately, this applies to 90% of the restaurants here in Phuket (and for 99% in Egypt), since you should not blindly trust in 'freshly caught'. And there is one more thing to remark; There has been a strict ban on shisha in Thailand for years. Googlemaps still list innumerable shisha bars in Phuket. In fact, we could still find five locations with shisha on the entire west coast with mostly outrageously high prices between 600-800 THB and in 3 cases with moderate to poor quality. Not so in the Cairo. The selection of flavors is not exhilarating, but the quality and service are very OK and half the price compared to the most expensive ones. And something else is worth mentioning; the ice-cold hibiscus tea (Kakade) is simply wonderful.

Cairo Restaurant in Phuket is a hidden gem that offers an exceptional dining experience. From the moment you step inside, the vibrant atmosphere instantly sets the tone for a memorable evening. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a long day.

One of the highlights of my visit was their hookah—smooth, flavorful, and expertly prepared. It’s clear that they take great pride in offering an authentic hookah experience that’s second to none. As for the food, I opted for the lamb shawarma with tahini sauce, prepared extra hot, just the way I like it. The lamb was tender, perfectly seasoned, and the tahini sauce added a rich, creamy texture that elevated the dish to new heights.

To complement the meal, I indulged in their fresh mint tea, which was both refreshing and invigorating, and a selection of their cocktail drinks, which were artfully crafted and bursting with flavor. Each sip was a delightful mix of tastes that perfectly balanced the heat of the meal.

Overall, Cairo Restaurant in Phuket offers not just a meal, but an experience. Whether you’re there for the food, the drinks, or the ambiance, you’re sure to leave satisfied and...

An unforgettable dining experience at Cairo Restaurant Patong.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, elegant, and inviting, which made it the perfect spot for a relaxing and refined evening out.

The service was absolutely outstanding, attentive and the staff member made us feel genuinely welcome. The team went above and beyond to ensure our experience was seamless from start to finish.

As for the Food it was absolutely phenomenal!

As for the Shisha and Sweets it was fantastic!

As for the Owner and Staff members was feeling like I am at home from the warm welcome.

Every dish was bursting with flavour and beautifully presented. The seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked, the meats were tender and full of rich, authentic taste, the molokhia was amazing taste and the traditional Middle Eastern flavours were done with precision and heart. You can tell the chefs are passionate about what they do.

Cairo Restaurant Patong highly recommend to anyone looking for exceptional food, professional service, and a beautiful atmosphere. Can not wait until...

Great food with good street views! This is a very conveniently located nice and big middle eastern restaurant. The first thing that you notice is that they have a very traditional Egyptian decor albeit a few Chinese red lanterns that are probably there to be more welcome to Chinese and and Chinese cuisine enthusiasts. The restaurant has a massive menu, they probably have everything ever cooked in any house or restaurant in Egypt and surrounding countries. The food quality is also top notch. The spice pallette is quite favorable for western tastes. That's true for dishes that are supposed to be spicy. So if spice is your thing ask them before hand. The service varies between what time of the day you visit the restaurant. We had lunch there during the usual lunch time and it was crowded and the service was a little delayed. Usually we went there late nights around 11 pm and they always welcomed us with a smile and hot food. Very friendly staff, they even played music on our request.

The Cairo Restaurant is a super cool, interesting Egyptian restaurant with a large selection of typical Turkish and Arabic dishes. The design of the restaurant is unusual, typically Egyptian and there is Egyptian music playing all the time, unfortunately perhaps a little too loud. The seating is very comfortable, the staff are super friendly and attentive and the food is also delicious. It was our first visit to an Egyptian restaurant and we tried a few of the dishes. The appetizer platter with humus, baba ganush, fatoush and tabbouleh was very tasty and the bread was also good. We also had vegan stuffed vine leaves and the typical kushari, which was also vegan. Everything was delicious and tasted good. The Cairo is more expensive, even compared to other Arabic restaurants. Here you can also smoke shisha in the courtyard and it's definitely worth the experience.
