This review isn't mostly about the food at this place. We did eat here 3 times in 3 days as a group of 4 Indians staying near the hotel and the food was good.
The review is mostly about the guy who sits in the hotel and keeps asking for taxi ride. In the 4 days stay the guy asked us everyday for the ride but we didn't, the last day we thought instead of doing grab we will ask this person. We asked and the guy mentioned 3 times the price being shown in the grab and that was it. We only mentioned that the grab is showing 3 times less price that what you are saying and that guy started shouting at us. He had the audacity of throwing a cold drinks bottles near us. He still kept on shouting and saying offensive things against Indians.
The restaurant being India shouldn't let these anti social elements sits in its premises unless the restaurant is also anti Indian.
We didn't go in the restaurant after that incident and if you are an Indian going into the restaurant do not deal with the guy sitting in the restaurant for taxi. The restaurant is only Indian in the name but supports anti Indian elements sitting in the restaurant who says offensive things against Indians. Since we were not in our country and didn't want to create a scene we didn't take the matter forward or didn't call the...
Read morein short: below average restaurant with above average prices.
recommendation: if you visit it, definitely do not experiment with salads and have something Indian. My boyfriend had indian food and it was ok. but that's where the positives end.
the staffs looks in most cases that they are in another world in their minds. they basically never answered or came when we called them, maybe they didn't hear it as it is right next to the main road. So wasn't nice but i can understand.
And... my meal - chicken salad was the most disgusting thing i have ever eaten. I don't understand how anyone can call this a salad. I wanted to have a healthy dinner and I got a plate where the salad was not even visible, there were also a few pieces of vegetables, in a combination that I have probably never seen before and it was all bathed in plain mayonnaise. no dressing, just 100% mayonnaise.
And for the price it was totally insane. Overpriced. One garlic naan cost 100 baht, which was the most terrible I've ever eaten. tasteless, burnt.
And last things when I went to pay and asked payment by card, I had the feeling that the man behind the bar was going to hit me over the head with something, he looked 'nice and...
