Coconut heaven — Restaurant in Patong

I knew it was difficult for me to trust anywhere other than the confides of my own hotel room (The Marriott, Merlin Beach) as I did not want to be a case of diarrhoea as others had fallen victim to. Coconut heaven is great and only a five minute walk from the Marriott. However, be careful of the power lines, rogue dogs and the sounds of Elephants at night. But this only adds to the adventure of visiting this place. Coconut heaven is amazing. The food is authentic Thai and the pricing is very cheap (between 250-600 baht) if you do choose to take a Taxi, don't pay more than 150 baht from the Marriott (it's only a one minute drive). If all else fails, just walk there. The lady will offer a ride home for free considering you are staying at the Marriot. She is wonderful and very accommodating. I went there multiple times with no worries...

Just been to this place 5 min ago myself my wife and my friend what can I say real poor service my friends was that spicy it was inedible it was minced type beef real small amount but super hot. seafood rice was the worst bland rice you could get it had 2 prawns and 3 bits of calamari abd 1 tiny piece of octopus also got a stir fry chicken n vegetable which had about a quater if that of a breast which didn't even look like chicken my wife had a yellow noodle and chicken dish which was real poor quality the sauce ut was in was like an oxo gravy cube all the food was real poor quality food at premium prices stay away do not go waste of money you will be dissapointed there is a Indian style restraunt slightly further down the hill 200m away super tasty real nice people and reasonable priced and a free shuttle and free icecream Ian...

Just got back to the Marriott from eating at Coconut Heaven and it delicious Thai food! This is a brand new family run restaurant that has only been open two weeks but is sure to become very popular. I had the spicy pork salad and massaman curry and both were perfect and so tasty. The atmosphere is very nice with an all wood deck overlooking Patong Bay and the view is worth the money alone. It started to rain a little during dinner but that did not take away from the experience. The service is fast and extremely friendly! The price is right with all being said. It is a short easy walk from the Marriott until the last 50 meters which is straight uphill but don’t let that stop you!
