I’ll start with the pros. It had a nice view. Otherwise, would not recommend this restaurant. We got in around 7:30pm on a Friday night. Our group of 4 were the only customers. We ordered the duck, steak, beef tartare and some sides. The steak tasted like slightly rotten, I kid you not. My friend took one bite and spit it out. Needless to say, we did not finish the steak. After the experience with the steak, I became skeptical of the beef tartare as well because it uses raw steak, which is even more concerning. The tartare was over seasoned and excessively sweet, which leads me to believe they were trying to mask rotten beef taste. Furthermore, the beef tartare was paired with very poor quality toast that you would use on a sandwich. Last but not least, they did not know how to make a martini. I sent the drink back 2 times and the 3rd time I just had them take it off my bill and switch it with a beer. Needless to say, horrible dining experience. Food was very bad for the price. To be honest I had high exoectations and it did not live up to the ratings. I don't give negative reviews often but I have to say something since I paid almost $600 for two for a New Year dinner that was so bland and tasteless. It was a five course dinner with nothing but average food. From costco cheese plates, to tasteless filet and can ratatouille, to whay seems like store bought desserts. Last thing was owner were more attentive to european guests. We asked for a better table but was told no since it's set up for four but next european couple came in and got it. I was only welcomed the first 10 minutes then he went to take care of all the other european guests for rest of night. Two stars...

Recently visited Le V Restaurant in Patong, Thailand, and it was an experience to remember!
