The worst customer service ever! Don’t book there if you don’t want a headache and stress during your vacation.
1.Our room was dirty upon arrival (especially the bathroom – there were ants crawling around, signs of mold and decay on the walls, and corners between the tiles, and a pile of dead insects on the windowsill. It was clear that someone had sprayed them with insecticide but forgot to clean up).
The real trouble and intimidation from the owner began when we reported the insects in the bathroom and asked for an extra pillow and bedding for the child who was going to sleep on the couch. We were told that if we expected anything, we had to pay an additional 1000 THB for cleaning service. Photos, videos, and messages we sent didn’t work; the hotel staff responded in an almost insolent manner each time. The next step was to threaten us with extra charges for water and electricity usage due to the child, which left us shocked and confused since we had paid for three people and the reservation clearly stated 2 adults + 1 child – this was the option we chose on the booking app, so scaring us like that was just insane.
The last incident that tipped the scales! During the last days I ended up in the hospital and needed surgery. My family had left a few days earlier, so I was completely alone! The day I should check out, I was undergoing surgery. We request an extension of the stay by at least a day or two; we were polite and willing to pay. There was no way I could leave the hospital that day, as my condition was life-threatening. A few hours after waking up from the coma, I managed to call, only to have a very rude woman start yelling at me that the key had to be in the box before 12, even though the room was empty for the next 24 hours and there was no rush! They didn’t care that I was fresh out of surgery with no ability to move, and there was no one who could do it for me. I even wanted to pay the hotel service to enter the room, pack my things, and I would just pick up the suitcases after leaving the hospital, but even that option didn’t suit them, which is completely illogical! It seems they don’t have a single spare key apart from the one they give to guests? As a last resort, I had to ask a complete stranger from fb to go to the hotel and check out because the owners started threatening additional money or even calling the police! On top of that, while packing, a cleaner entered the room, pointed to a large bag, and said that its contents belonged to the hotel. It contained only 1 hotel towel, the rest was our private, newly purchased bedding and blanket for the child. The woman who helped me in this situation didn’t know and couldn’t ask me, as I was in a bad state after the surgery, so she just gave the bag to the cleaner, which means the hotel also kept our private belongings.
Poor approach to running a business, disgusting character. The owner treats any question/request as an attack and straigh say ''no'' before even consider it. Very close-minded, lacking any empathy or openness to conversation and finding solutions. When he realizes there’s no more room for maneuver and you’re in the right (as in the case of the dirt and insects in the room), he simply starts ignoring your messages. Every message from him is filled with aggression and a desire for conflict. The entire facility is quite dirty and neglected, the gym equipment often not working. The photos of the rooms look more modern and cleaner, but in reality, it’s old furniture and rotten couches, with years of neglect in cleaning. The dirty air conditioning gave me allergies and a cough.
Advice to the owners – if you can’t live up to the task and guarantee professional customer service, and view improvements in your business as a constant problem, just hire someone who knows what they’re doing and doesn’t suffer...

The overall gist of our stay is that whilst we would stay there again, we would certainly request a different apartment or even a discounted rate if the same issues were to be met again. ||||To begin, I will start with the positives about our stay at The Deck. ||||The best part of our stay was one of the security guards called 'Boy'. When leaving and entering the property, he always greeted us with a massive smile and often a short conversation. He is an absolute gift to this property, and if you are to stay there, strike up a conversation with him - you won't regret it. ||||The location of The Deck was also a major positive. Only a 5 minute walk to the beach, a 7 eleven right beside the entrance, and local cafes and restaurants very close nearby - I recommend 52hz Coffee. It is about a 20 or so minute walk to Bangla road from The Deck, a journey you lose yourself to daydreaming about all the crazy and curious sights along the way. You may see in other reviews that there is a mosque nearby where you hear the call to prayer multiple times per day but in my opinion this was never an issue. If anything, it adds to the culture and atmosphere of the area and is not a negative piece to The Deck's location. ||||Whilst there are no real other glaring positives, The Deck does provide those who stay there with a good experience slightly removed from Bangla, but close enough to enjoy the action. ||||Now, onto the unfortunate amount of negatives. ||||Upon arrival, we noticed a few issues with our apartment in particular. Our apartment was on the third floor, and was an end room. It got so bad to the point where if we opened any form of food product that was not in the fridge, we would have to finish it that day as the cupboards and presses would make all the food go bad/soft within hours.
