The nice ambiance and inviting decor of the shop actually stopped our group of 4 in our tracks to patronize the shop for dinner. The menu is diverse, featuring classic Thai dishes as well as western comfort food. Personally tried the clear tom yum seafood soup, which was awesome with perfect harmony of sour, spicy and savory. Fried calamari was good and the seafood was fresh as well. Staff at Mr. Patong were warm & welcoming. They’re more than happy to recommend dishes or adjust spice levels to suit your preferences if required. Overall prices were reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, making it a great option for travelers and locals alike. Very clean and very friendly staff especially the front of the house man. We ordered 2 cocktails and 2bottles of water. For food we ordered steamed red snapper with some morning glory and steamed rice . However we did not expect our cocktails to arrive one by one and the bottles of water came later to the table. Then morning glory and steamed rice came but we had to wait approx 10 mins or so for the fish to arrive before we cos start eating . If all the meals arrived at same time it would be an excellent service as the food tasted flavoursome. Despite all this I would really recommend the sticky rice with mango served hot. I had a very disappointing experience with this restaurant. There were eight of us, and I ordered the easiest dish to prepare, a yellow curry with coconut milk. First, they didn’t even take my order, so I had to reorder after informing them that my food hadn’t arrived. When they finally brought it out, it was missing the coconut milk! The dish itself wasn’t bad, but it was not what I ordered. We also ordered mango sticky rice, but the mango was bad, and the rice was tasteless.
