I believe many people will be heading to this place mainly for the seafood BBQ. The mudcrab and Thai prawn(Big head ones) are live so they are fresh. The other shellfish/seafood are all frozen/dead so they arent fresh at all. So the only item we took were the prawns to bbq.
The thai bbq(หมูกะทะ) was ok with the normal serving of meat. However, if you are here for this, there are so many shops in the area that is cheaper and serve better quality meat.
The ready to eat food was good. Such as roast duck, cakes, desert. The pickled prawn/crab/salmon wasnt that good though (Can have better ones elsewhere)
The place was rather hot and stuffy so you should consider choose table near the main road or the sides rather then in the middle/near food station.
Place will start to get crouded after 8/9pm. Live band starts around this timing too
Side note: The thongs/ scissors provided were all small and hard to use. So with the stuffy atmosphere + hard to use utensils, you will feel like getting you dinner done and over with very soon.
Good to experience ONCE and not really recommended to come back.

Read moreThis is an all-you-can-eat outdoor BBQ style. About 90% seafood and 10% pork. You get 2 old fashioned burning wood stoves, one is for BBQ and other is for boiling. So many varieties of food from ready to eat or raw food and you cook it by yourself on the table. The cost is 399 bhat or about $12/pp that includes 2 bottles of water, Thai deserts, ice cream, fresh fruit and cake. I strongly suggest you to bring your own napkins because there's a 5 bhat for a small pack of napkins that is so tiny and thin (thinner than toilet paper). They would put a pack of these useless napkins on the table without telling customers that it's not free. This place is good for those people who want to eat seafood. There's no limit to how long you can eat. But my major health concern is that both workers and customers are using their bare bands handling food to and from the trays such as fresh fruit and other food. I'm pretty sure neither workers nor customers wash their hands. This is my first and last visit...
Read moreIt probably deserves 5* if you like eating a bucket of crab in a warehouse. The whole bbq yourself thing not really my style. Unless your really into seafood there's cheaper better options.
The live seafood is of course as fresh as u can get. The Thai people of my group loved it. Cleanliness and service are a bit meh but that's usually par for the course at these type of places.
Can get very busy, has bus loads of Chinese tourists on tours. Seats probably about 300 in ..well a big barn. Gets hot
If you love seafood it's not bad tho, most bbq have prawns these days but not so much crab and a few other things. There's non seafood stuff that was ok as well but not worth it if your not a fan of crab. 399 per person. Took a bottle of Hong tong, only 60 bhat corkage so that's...
