chao doi coffee world's Sub — Restaurant in Pattaya City

We stopped by recently and had mixed feelings about the experience. The avocado sandwich was okay – nothing special but not bad either. Coffee, on the other hand, was quite good, and we appreciated that it was served with a glass of water – a nice touch.

However we had an unpleasant experience with one of the staff members. The tall lady with glasses who took our order and brought our sandwiches seemed unfriendly and unapproachable throughout our visit. She didn’t smile while taking our order or serving the food, and had a rather cold, borderline rude attitude. We also had trouble communicating in English, which made the ordering process more difficult.

To be fair, the other staff members were polite, kind, and welcoming — a stark contrast. This one interaction, however, affected our overall experience negatively.

Prices are reasonable – you can get a coffee and a sandwich for around 200 baht, which is definitely a plus.

[Edit – Response to Owner’s Reply]: I don’t think it’s professional — or acceptable — for a business owner to tell a guest to “check yourself.” The issue wasn’t just the lack of a smile — it was the overall attitude, which felt cold, dismissive, and frankly, rude. That goes against the very spirit of Thai hospitality, doesn’t it?

I mentioned both the good and the bad honestly. Yes, the food and coffee were fine — but for me, how I’m treated matters just as much, if not more. Based on that, I felt 2 stars was fair. And your defensive and aggressive reply here only proves my point.

Respectful feedback deserves a respectful response. I hope you reflect on that — and treat future guests...

Cappuccino :

I have ordered a hot cappuccino here aprrox' 15 times.

On 14 occasions, it was the best cup you will find in Thailand.

The cup size is perfect, the foam is done perfectly and once the foam is gone , the espresso does not loose its deep flavor ( unlike other places , you are not left with watery tasteless substance)

Something works properly here.

(I was recently very disappointed by other chao-Doi branches that lost the coffee-touch and deteriorated into the tasteless)

Great staffs and a friendly atmosphere with the Best subs and pastry in Pattaya!! The meatball sub is a MUST!! All subs with fresh veges and all are full of volume and real tasty.
