This place is incredible and service outstanding. Highly recommended to any tourist who wants to step off the crazy busy markets and have an ice-cold drink, lovely food, and a great hostess to make amazing food recommendations. I was on my own and came across Mambo Yo-Yo while looking for a good place to eat — and I’m so glad I did. The atmosphere was welcoming, and I instantly felt comfortable. The food was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. I had the chicken skewer, which was perfectly grilled, tender, and bursting with flavour. It came with a delicious dipping sauce and sides that really rounded out the meal. The hostess Mena manager was incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great recommendations even though I was dining solo. The service was warm and attentive without being overbearing — exactly what you want when you’re exploring on your own. They don’t accept cards, so make sure you bring cash. This was honestly the best food I’ve had on my trip so far. The quality, the flavours, and the overall experience made it a real standout. I left full, happy, and already thinking about...
Read moreIt’s a 4 star restaurant! Food could be better but the Service was good and pleasant! Mexican Nachos are served on a bed of Green Salad ( with the cheese barely melted) which I never experienced before at any restaurant! Definitely not worth the 270 bht! As far as the Chicken and Pork Skewers are concerned, they were nicely presented , but my Chicken was definitely not Well Done ( it was medium at best ) as I was told by the staff and my Wife’s Pork was dry! Definitely there is room for improvement! Keep in mind that there is no A/C and it’s a good idea to come after 6:00 pm when the Sun is down! I hope the Owner of this Restaurant reads my comments and improves the food! P.s. I just read the Reply from the Restaurant Owner ( I presume ) in French suggesting that I should have returned the dish ( Chicken, I presume) to be cooked more! I suggest for the Owner to hire and train the cooking staff to cook the right way to begin with , which is done in good restaurants! If the business wants the repeat customers, work on the quality of your product and service! I do appreciate the...
Read moreWe were looking for a good place to eat on Google Maps and came across Mambo Yo-Yo. The reviews convinced us, so we made the walk from our accommodation specially to try it — and it was worth it. The food was fresh, full of flavour, and nicely presented. The green curry was well balanced, the rice perfectly cooked, and the chicken cashew nut stir-fry had a rich, savoury sauce. The seafood mix was also a pleasant surprise. Service was attentive and friendly, making the whole experience easy and enjoyable.
If there’s room for improvement, it’s in the details. The aubergine in the green curry was a little overcooked, and the beef (an unusual addition for green curry) was slightly chewy. Still, these were small points in an otherwise well-prepared meal.
They do not accept cards, only cash: so be prepared.
Overall, a surprisingly good dining experience with quality ingredients, great service, and food that leaves you satisfied and confident in...
