Read moreI was in Pattaya when we ordered food from this restaurant via Grab. It was highly rated on Grab and we were convinced. I am a hardcore vegetarian while my friends are non-vegetarians. We went ahead with our order of Kadahi Paneer, Kadahi Chicken and Tandoori Roti. After 30-40 minutes we received our order. First thing I found out there was a spillage from the curries and I was not comfortable with it, still I ignored it. Now when I unwrapped the Rotis, I was surprised to see it was neither like Tandoori Roti nor Tawa Roti. Looked like rotis made of maida on tawa but yeah they were bigger in size. And then came the curries, it was not cooked properly. Spices were half cooked and seemed like it’s a job done by someone who doesn’t even know C of cooking. After having 2-3 bites I got annoyed to an extent that I posted a negative review immediately on Grab. And then I receive a call few minutes later, it was the restaurant owner. He asked me why did I rate then a single star and told me I should have rated it negatively only if I went to a hospital after having their food. His tone was so rude and angry that I felt unsafe in a faraway place. I told them I will rate them positively on Google just to cover up. I was literally scared what if he comes banging on my door and starts hitting us. Since now I am back to India, I am narrating the ordeal I had to go through. Please never...

After having eaten here, I am extremely surprised that it's received such astounding reviews, factoring in the many other great Indian restaurants in town.
To start off with, the onion bhaji was indeed very flavorful. The spices immediately permeate throughout the palette, and made me look forward to the rest of the meal.
Next came the vegetable samosas. At first taste the crispy outer layer is salted to perfection, but as you get to the insides, there becomes a very blatant lack of flavor at all. It tastes as if there was some cumin powder residue on mashed potatoes.
The mains of chicken korma, mutton curry, and vegetables biriyani all came out at the same time. The timing of this was surprisingly well executed. However the flavors of all three dishes were lacking in depth. The curries in India tend to have a strong, savory element to them which make you want to eat plenty of naan/roti to balance the flavors. The ones served here were all very mild tasting, and did not quite meet the aforementioned balance with the starch counterpart.
I genuinely wanted this place to live up to its online reputation, but unfortunately with the many other options in town, I won't be giving this...
