Pastry Addiction — Restaurant in Pattaya City

Walked in to a very huge empty cafe despite being on the beach road. Servers were sitting and kitchen staff were playing on their phones. It should have been a red flag already. I had high expectation because they were not cheap and the menu looks good. They served the carbonara and coffee so quick. The carbonara was not carbonara, it was more like a pasta with white cream sauce and crispy pork strips. They literally saw me add more salt because it tasted so bland. I was looking forward for the 280 baht soufflé pancake. NOT FRESH. It looked and tasted like somebody bought a mini chiffon cake and some packaged stuff from 7/11 and assembled them. They focused on presentation but striving, taste was even worse. Coffee however was good. It's very important to read reviews....

I asked for the info of the tea they serve in the set of afternoon tea ( which they named “ heaven and earth” tea ) but the waitress know nothing.. and say that I can read at the label myself …

The liver pâté is not fresh as it supposed to be (450 per set excluded 10% service charged) it’s definitely not a good place for savory afternoon tea sandwiches

We come as a couple but they gave only one set of the plate, so we have to ask about the full set of utensils

The meal is quite expensive compared to the service I received

Once is enough for me since you can definitely get a better service from the food truck at any corner...

A nice place to stop from the heat but experience was disappointing.

Whilst it was cool upon arriving the aircon is set to a very low level so you start sweating again.

Also service was so poor. Staff never really checked on us and it was so difficult to get their attention.

Food wasn’t much better. There were a million items on the menu so that worried me. And the food wasn’t good. The carbonara pasta was so spicy despite not mentioning any chilli so it was likely an insane amount of pepper. It also didn’t taste like carbonara.

The pizza was equally terrible. Edible but something you might make as a bad home attempt rather than from a restaurant.
