Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya — Hotel in Pattaya City

If it wasnt for the details to follow this hotel would have received a 4.5 star.

The first issue was the website. I used the website that is directly operated by the hard rock hotels group. The site was not allowing the correct dates, and when they were selected, the confirmation page would show differently.

I booked two reservations to be sure. The first one was messed up for two nights on the wrong says. The second was the correct date for one night. When I arrived, I was told the hotel was fully booked and that they would see what they could do for me since I had stayed there many times before. (In 2014 stayed a month in one of their elite rooms $15k USD)

The woman at the front desk Comphoo was friendly as was able to get us a room. We were assigned room #1012 We were brought up to the club loung on the 9th floor, where we could sit down and complete our checkin process comfortably.

We waited for at least a half hour for any updates. Finally the woman at the desk, I believe her name was Patchy, said that instead of giving us the room we were promised she would give us a better room. She assigned us room 908. I was asked to sign a piece of paper for the room. I failed to look over it closely. She essentially upgraded us to a room that was 9400 baht per night when the original lady said 6900 baht per night. This was not discovered until check out time. The room was put in the computer for 9400 baht, and I had to argue with them and get them to call the other lady to confirm it should have been 6900. A secondary manager needed to sign off. Puts such a bad taste in my mouth.

The room was decent. Nice kids bunk beds, and a king bed. The cleaning folks failed to remove food and drinks from the previous guests. When going to take a shower, we found a box of opened condoms in the bathroom.

On a cleanliness score this hotel receives a 0 to 1 for that as it was there clear as day and not removed by the cleaners.

Our guest was harrassed at the pool and was asked for him room key. This is a great ways to cause both people to lose face. We are not some neighborhood kids trying to catch a dip in the neighbor's pool. To insinuate such is ridiculous.

I have stayed at this hotel many times before. In 2014 the quality was superb. In 2015 it was great as well but over the last few years it has gone down in quality.

For the dirty room, the bait and switch, the wasting of my time trying to sort out something like this, and having to call to get our room keys at were supposed to be provided to us, yielded nothing except a simple "sorry about your stay". From the front desk clerk and manager.

I think its only right to get some sort of discount when you are paying that kind of money and have been a returning customer for the last 5 years, to have to see used condoms and garbage in the room. Very unprofessional and unsanitary.

There are so many great choices for hotels in Pattaya. Some refuse to lower their prices and will result to bait and switch, fraudulent tactics like the hard rock did to me. I would look at bigger hotel chains like Hilton, Centara, as they have a much better experience.

I have now lived in Pattaya Thailand for nearly 6 months once I moved out of my house because of an electric problem and stayed at this hotel for a few days. The day was expensive. Everyone was fragmented and interested in helping and it was sad and just not busy. But I thought maybe it was me. ||My girlfriend and I decided we needed to get a few days away from the house so we booked a two night stay. From the front desk experience on up it was just weird and clumsy and odd. Even at the excessive price, I thought well this is a very, very nice hotel and things will be fine. ||The room was beautiful, clean perfect I have no complaints about the room. I have no complaints about room service when I asked for Ice or anything else. ||I even have no complaints about the breakfast buffet. The food was good. Everyone was reasonably attentive, but there’s other problems with this hotel. ||I decide to rent a cabana Saturday afternoon and they put me as far away from the bar in the pool as possible when every other cabana I could see was empty. But maybe it’s because I’m just a big old, gray haired white guy from America and they thought I was a hillbilly.||When the cabana waiter finally did show up I asked him for two strawberry daiquiris and he said no problem and then I didn’t see him for an hour and a half. so I finally walked down to the bar ordered two drinks and suddenly he walked up with a big smile on his face going. Hey, how’s things going?||Maybe it’s just a matter annoyance but I thought that was the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen. That are 1 million other tiny little annoying things. I will not be back. Nearly $1000 for two nights stay in Pattaya. We had an absolutely unforgettable stay at Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya and can’t recommend it enough!|From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the valet, who greeted us with a big smile and helped with our luggage right away — a fantastic first impression.||We stayed in the Rockstar Royalty Suite, which came with a private check-in at the Royalty Lounge. The lounge was a real highlight — offering all-day access to refreshments, coffee, snacks, and even an à la carte breakfast each morning. In the evenings, they served unlimited drinks and delicious tapas from 6 to 7 PM — everything was fresh and tasty.|Our suite was spacious and full of character, complete with its own electric guitar and vinyl records. It truly captured the rock 'n' roll spirit. Plus, the bed was incredibly comfortable — like sleeping on a cloud!|For lunch, we dined at the hotel’s pizzeria, which overlooks the pool and the landmark giant electric guitar. ||The pizza and burrata were some of the best we’ve ever had — fresh, flavourful, and perfectly prepared.|One of the perks of staying in a Royalty Suite is access to the private Cabanas by the pool and beach area. This was such a peaceful and relaxing spot, especially after a big lunch.||In the evening, we visited the Hard Rock Café on-site, where a live band played a great mix of music and even took requests. The food was just as impressive — the Satay Burger in particular was a standout.
