CAFE LA PLAGE — Restaurant in Pattaya City

We ate here for brunch and dinner on the same day. We had pizza and brown sugar coffee and a late and the food was very delicious and I enjoyed the pizza and the coffee. The customer service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. The cafe looks over the beach in Pattaya which is great and you can even sit and chill and have a drink and just watch the ocean. There is also some colourful things setup on the second floor where you can take some Instagram photos or just cool photos. In the evening this place comes alive and it was very busy and there were people on the dance floor or people just having a drink and relaxing on the first floor. We sat on the second floor and had Thai food for dinner. We were a little disappointed with the Thai food that’s why it lost a star but the rice we ordered with our dishes was very nice. Giving 4 stars only for the 4 star view from the food bar on the upper deck. Let’s get real people - the food in Pattaya is horrible. People don’t go to this part of Thailand for food - they only reason they eat at all is to sop up all the booze they’re about to drown their sorrows with. I had the massaman curry: no peanuts, no chopped cilantro, no spice, just old potatoes swimming around in a thin, bland, sorry excuse for a curry. The only redeeming note that reminded me I was consuming Thai food was the intense amount of sugar in it. My dining partner had the Tom yum khun and it was the same-same but different. the mussels were stale and smelled very nice, they just fell apart and you can see that they are not fresh, but the smell is just disgusting. At first I gave it some sauce, but then I realized that it was mussels.

And when I told them about it, they said that before I started eating, I needed to tell about it and they can’t do anything anymore.

The view and flowers around really nice. But not food and service. I just hope I will be okay after trying this salad because tho I didn’t finish it.
