We visited Kin&Koff on Sunday 2 Jan 22 during a busy lunch period. Kin&Koff has a strategic location, opposite the Grand Palace. It has a second floor air conditioned room which seats seven tables or 30+ people easily.
Its menu comprises of a small selections of Thai dishes and western breakfast (croissants etc…). We loved the pad Thai and the fried rice. Most other restaurants around the Grand Palace were very busy as well.
The food was not cheap. A pad Thai was Baht 175 each and fried rice with crispy fish was 145. Iced tea was 79 and iced cocoa was 120.

If you’re looking for fast service and WiFi before you order—this is not your place.
But if you’re up for a quirky experience, Kin&Koff Café has its own rhythm. The rules are proudly posted and politely strict: • Sit down and stay put. No wandering. • Don’t bring outside food or drinks (they will notice). • Eat before arriving. And most importantly, be patient.
Why? Because one formidable lady with 40 years of experience does it all. Every dish, every stir-fry, every sprinkle of seasoning—solo.
Expect a 20 to 60-minute wait, depending on the crowd, so don’t come hangry. Also, the WiFi password? It’s a post-payment privilege. Order, eat, pay—then surf.
In short: Think of it less as a café and more as an old-school performance. You’re not just here for food—you’re here for...
Read moreThe Kin & Off Restaurant located right across Wat Pho, the Wat Phra Chetuphon and approximately 10 minutes from the Grand Palace is a good alternative to stop for lunch during a busy day visiting the great temples near by. It is just a couple of minutes from the Tiam Pier at the Chao Phraya river. The restaurant itself is nothing really special, but the food is very nice. We tried one Pad Thai with chicken and one with shrimp, both were delicious. The Crispy Fried tofu with a sweet peanuts sauce was also very good. Prices were reasonable. Unfortunately one of the fruit juices we order was bad. We asked them to please change it for another juice and they refused. It left a bad taste for the lack of...
