Wow amazing Thai food - and cheap!! The penang curry with pork and green curry with chicken were both amazingly delicious, as was the sticky rice with mango. (The fruit was perfectly in season, and the sticky rice came out warm with crunchies on top so the was this amazing blend of temperatures and textures with well-balanced flavors. The shrimp cakes were good and fried to perfection, but compared to everything else? Any appetizer would be overshadowed.

We also got two iced teas, the matcha and the Ceylon. They were both delicious, and a good compliment to the well spiced food. Neither one was very spicy.

This place is right outside Wat Pho and while yes it's a little touristy, it's amazingly delicious and also cheap. You won't regret coming here to decompress after going to see Wat Pho, or even coming...

When my husband and I tried to go in the man working there told us they were full. When we tried to ask how much time we should wait, he rather aggressively asked us to leave and flipped the door sign to "closed". We started walking away but then saw that the white couple who came after us were promptly let in and seated. We went back and talked to a different guy who seated us. While we were eating, we saw the both the servers turn away two Indian girls saying they were full and then seat a Caucasian couple soon after (no new seats had become available in that time). They also went out of their way to accommodate a group of 5 Caucasian tourists. All Meals Sawasdee at Bangkok is a very small restaurant near the Wat Pho temple. You will find a lot of locals and westerners here and the place is super crowded always. We had to wait for 20 minutes who’re we got our seats. The restaurant can seat around 25 to 30 people max. The food was too good and we enjoyed every meal we ordered. I loved the sea food Thai fried rice (names are different in Thai language, however I would recommend you try them). The portion quantity is perfect and it is not less or more. Food was served quick and the staff are super fast. They are too busy to even give you an eye contact which is understandable as the crowd as large.
