Location: We happened to stumble on this place after visiting some templates. It was tucked away in a little alley but easy to find. The view was super beautiful and there wasn't any scaffolding for once. Surprised to say the least! Drinks: Per usual, it was extremely hot so the virgin mojito and Pina colada really hit the spot. Food: The prawn papaya salad super super tasty. It was more on the mild side but still had a good clean/crisp flavor. I really enjoyed my green curry and the prawns were huge. The pineapple friend rice was also very good. It was a good balance between savory and sweet. The only disappointing thing was seeing all the trash floating around, but that was out of their control. I can only imagine the beautiful view at night.

Very easily accessible from the main road only about 50 meters from Wat Phra . The sitting area has a stunning view of Wat Arun quite busy river there but the view is spectacular ! Ordered a pizza , salmon and spring rolls the food was spot on absolutely well cooked and presented full of flavor . The star of the show was the strawberry magherita which had a corona submerged credit to the Barman for this one taste 10/10 and presentation 10/10 ! The cheesecake was a good finisher . Good portions , well priced considering not many options with that kind of view Service was good the waiter was always available through out our meal . Will def recommend

Better not to drive here except that you have a driver. No parking lot and it is in a small narrow lane. The restaurant is by Chao praya river. We walkes up to the fifth floor. The stairs are narrow. Be careful each step. No air-conditioning on this floor. The view by the river is amazing. Temple of dawn ( Wat Arun ) with a background of sunset is beautiful. We arrived early around 5pm. So we saw a change of sky colors when the time went by. We booked here more than a month ago. At that time we talked on the phone with one staff and we had to change the date until we could get a table by the river. But when we arrived, we did not get a table we booked. That was not nice to change our booking. But none of the staff helped. We had to sit at the table they gave us. Very disappointing. We ordered some drinks. There were ok. Mine was just too sweet. Food selections are not many. There are both Thai and Western food. We tried quite a few dishes. There were ok, not great. The taste was more for foreigners. Chicken satay was too dry. Actually, having dinner here is more for the magnificent view and welcoming guests.

There are things that I wish I had known before coming here. Maybe my info below will be helpful to others. This restaurant consists of 3 floors. Reservations can be made for the first and second floors. To get a good table closest to the river, you have to make a reservation two weeks in advance. The view of the river is obstructed on these floors by a staircase and columns. A full food menu is available on these floors. The third floor is on the rooftop. It has the best view by far, but you can’t make reservations so you should come early or wait for a good table to open up. Only drinks and snacks can be ordered on this floor. Note that drink prices are higher on this floor. For example, a bottle of Asahi was 170 baht on the first floor but 240 baht on the third floor. I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea but didn’t taste any alcohol. Also, the picture of this drink in the menu made it look like a small pitcher, and it was 290 baht. However, when the drink arrived it was just in a regular glass. Still 290 baht on the bill.

While the restaurant and bar itself is fine (both food and service wise is decent enough), I wouldn’t recommend the experience itself to anyone. Our table was close to the staircase on the 4th floor and instead of having a dinner with a view of Wat Arun, we ended up seeing mostly the backs of tourists as they crammed into the view of Wat Arun to take pictures. (See pics below). While it's not out of view the entire time, guests from the restaurant and the bar above continue to crowd in areas of the restaurant in view of the temple, and by doing so, get in the way of where people are attempting to enjoy their dinner. It ends up being a rather hectic and stressful setting. Perhaps check out one of their other restaurants or bars or one of the higher-end places next door for a better experience. Unfortunately The Deck feels more like a tourist viewing deck than a place to eat or drink.

Second time here, first time during the pandemic. The food is not so good anymore, especially the Thai food. The pizza is still great, tho. Too many rude tourists coming to our table, putting their phones out right above our heads to take photos of Wat Arun. For the bar, arrived there around 5pm and the place was full of people, smoking cigarettes and keeping chairs to themselves even they were not using. I know this is not the restaurant’s problem but only if they had a solution to this, the place would be amazing. The staffs were busy with the orders that they ended up charging us twice for the drinks, which we later found when we got home and got our refund through fb messages. I’d rather go to Sala Rattanakosin for a better and relaxing experience next time.
