I went to G.O.D. in Chinatown with a few friends after the bartender at Teens of Thailand told us, “If you want to see something wild, go there.” He wasn’t wrong.
Walking in feels like stepping into a church after the demons have been let loose — gothic arches, stained glass, and lighting straight out of a cyberpunk fever dream. Think Blade with a touch of cathedral drama. It’s eerie, theatrical, and incredibly well-executed. There’s supposedly live music, and sure enough, a pianist was playing slow, haunting notes that gave the whole space a moody, cinematic energy. Not much of a crowd — maybe because the place is pricey or just too dark for the average bar-hopper — but that only added to the mystique.
The cocktails are no joke. Every drink felt like a statement piece. The servers were patient and articulate, walking us through a menu that’s as cryptic as a ritual script. They knew exactly what they were doing.
Rest in Peach (460฿) — a bright, playful contrast of yuzu and kombucha topped with a peach gummy bear and edible chocolate soil.
• Trinity: The Father, The Son & Larb Kwaii (560฿) — made with clarified beef blood, smoky, spicy, and bizarre. Comes with chicharrón and truffle mayo.
• 4 Cheesus (480฿) — a drink that’s basically liquid cheese alchemy. Wild honey and pecorino somehow balancing in harmony of savory and sweet.
The weakest link was Jeez & Tonic (480฿)
Bottom line: G.O.D. isn’t a “grab-a-drink” kind of place — it’s an experience. Every detail is intentional: the lighting, the music, the service, the storytelling behind the drinks. It’s theatrical, indulgent, and definitely not for everyone. But if you want to drink inside what feels like a haunted cathedral designed by a cyber-goth architect, this...
Read moreSo this bar came next after we had our drink at the last one so this was fifth out of 12 of our Hope and I’m so glad we came here this experimental cocktail pairing bar was quite unique and I’m so happy I came I would highly recommend anyone to come here even if only for one drink 🍹- it’s worth the trip!
The servers were also very patient and very accommodating to explain how this all worked which made the experience all the more worthwhile!
Drinks were so so deliciously different, we loved that all of them had a snack pairing which really enhanced the flavor of the drink! The cocktail that I had had was called just peachy and it came with a large peach gummy bear as a pairing which was so delicious and yes the pairing with the drink made it more like a rosé rather than a white Prosecco crispy drink!
My friend had the sweet drink with the savory pairing with the salmon roll and I can’t remember it had to do with like Geez it’s gin or something but I quite like the drink and didn’t get a chance to taste the snack because he gulp down in one shot!
I love the concept of this bar and the ambience is so cool it’s very different and old unique style warehouse kind of half chapel I love the piano that’s sitting up in that little crevice up on top!
Unexpectedly one of a kind and most unique bar experiences yet!

Read moreThis cocktail bar is a true gem, class, artistry, experience and risk combined in its cocktails - easily the best I've experienced, and I’ve been to the best cocktail bars in London and NYC. GOD is world class.
The drinks are masterfully crafted. I had 3 cocktails that were perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. All with their distinct flavors - that you’ve never had before! What really sets this place apart, is their unique 'bite-size taste experience'. Think tiny flavor explosions that pair perfectly with your drink. After the bite, you take a sip and the flavour is enhanced. It’s CRAZY. Like a fine dining tasting menu…but it’s cocktails - mind blowing.
The atmosphere is spot-on. They play great hip-hop, but thanks to clever acoustics, you can actually have a conversation without raising your voice. It's lively yet intimate - ideal for a night out with friends you wanna catch up with or a date. It’s a flex if you’re the one bringing friends there because it’s so cool.
The lighting and decor create a cool, exclusive vibe without feeling pretentious. Every detail, from the glassware to the presentation, shows real...
