I’ve been debating writing this review but I think it’s important to note my experience. I saw the wallflower while walking in around Bangkok in October 2025 and thought it was beautiful. So I decided to make an appearance later that night for dinner and a drink, which I looked forward to all day. I found myself on the rooftop with a beautiful setting and had a waitress who seemed very nice. When I went to order, I made it VERY clear that I had a pineapple and orange allergy. The menu did not advertise or list those in the items I ordered, but I specified anyway and was sure to use a translator just in case. My waitress repeated to me in my native language (English) that she would make sure that there would be no pineapple or orange in my dishes. When my drink arrived, I immediately noticed something was off and asked about it. It turned out that there was in fact orange in my drink (again not listed in the ingredients) and she had it remade but I was too nervous to drink it. Shortly after, my food came and it had a large orange garnish wedged between the meal. I again expressed my concern to which the waitress took my plate and returned with the same plate after removing the oranges. I explained once again that I couldn’t eat that dish because of my allergy to which she replied “I didn’t squeeze the orange on the plate.” I politely asked her to take the plate away and shortly after asked for my check so I could leave. At that point, I was completely distraught and lost all trust in them.

I was extremely disappointed because it was a beautiful place, the food was plated beautifully, and I enjoyed the atmosphere. But where I draw the line is the complete lack of concern for my dietary needs and allergies when I expressed them from the very beginning. It is dangerous to disregard food allergies and if you have any, I do not recommend...

The ambiance is absolutely delightful—cozy, charming, and steeped in history. Nestled in a colonial-era building, this café offers a unique vibe that feels like stepping back in time while still being modern and inviting. It's the perfect spot to relax, unwind, and soak in the historic surroundings of Bangkok's Chinatown.

The coffee is rich and expertly brewed, catering to both casual drinkers and true caffeine aficionados. As for the desserts, they are nothing short of divine. Each bite is a flavorful journey, with cakes that are fresh, moist, and beautifully presented. Whether you're craving something sweet or a perfectly balanced espresso, this place delivers every time.

it’s clear that their food offerings are also noteworthy. They never fail to surprise with creative dishes that hit the mark in flavor and presentation. It’s evident that care and attention go into every item on the menu.

The staff deserves a special mention—especially Ms Pray she's friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Their passion for what they do shines through, adding an extra layer of warmth to the entire experience.

This place truly is a hidden gem. Whether you’re visiting for a quick coffee break, indulging in their heavenly desserts, or exploring their full menu, you’re in for a treat. Every visit leaves you pleasantly surprised and eager to return. If you're in the Chinatown area, this café is a must-visit!

📍 Location Tip: Tucked away in the bustling streets of Chinatown, this spot offers a serene escape from the city chaos. Its historical charm and cool vibes make it an ideal destination for anyone looking to discover something special off the beaten path.

Final verdict: Highly recommended! Will definitely be returning for more of their scrumptious...

EXTREMELY OVERPRICED. The drinks we tried were not worth it.

The dark beer cake looked beautiful and tasted quite nice, well-balanced and moist. Price: 200 THB (very high but at least it delivered)

Signature drink “tamarind coffee” literally tasted like an espresso tonic that you could get for much cheaper in Europe. No hints of “salt-cayenne”, hints of tamarind only at the bottom of the glass. Looks beautiful when it’s served but placing a big ice cube on top as a decoration is impractical - your lips will freeze when they come in contact with it. Adding a metal straw to the glass would be reasonable, if you can’t omit the ice cube. Price: 250 THB (almost 6,5€) As much as cocktails at some of the top rooftop bars in Bangkok 😳 I got no rooftop view here.

Drip coffee. We asked for the one with the most acidity, yet the coffee that we received still ended up being mostly bitter, with bitter aftertaste and almost no acidity. It still definitely tasted like specialty coffee and not the regular dark-as-hell coffee in SE Asia but the price (250 BHT (6,5€)) is insane considering we didn’t even get what we were promised 🤯 INSANE.

The staff was actually quite nice but the 10% additional service charge is not justified. We didn’t receive any napkins, nor did we receive any complimentary drinking water (something a place with such high prices should do automatically).

It surprised me that the second floor was completely empty even though we were told the place was fully occupied - I guess only the few tables on the ground floor were accessible to the guests at the time of our visit. The rooftop was inaccessible as well (it opens at 5:30 p.m.), shame, maybe the view would make...

"Beautiful Setting, But Disappointing Service" I was initially captivated by the photos of this café and came with high expectations, looking forward to a relaxing coffee break with my friend. Unfortunately, our experience turned out to be a letdown due to misleading service. When we arrived, the ground floor was quite cramped, with only a few uncomfortable seating options left. We politely asked if we could go upstairs, hoping for a more comfortable space with a view. However, the waitress informed us that the upper floors were only open on weekends, and since we were there on a weekday, access was not allowed. This seemed strange, but we accepted her response. It wasn’t until we finished our coffee and went upstairs to use the restroom that we discovered this wasn’t true. The second floor was indeed open, with empty tables and a fantastic view, and other customers were already seated there. This left us feeling misled, wondering why we had been refused a better experience. I raised the issue with the staff at reception, hoping for an explanation. Instead, the response was even more confusing. The receptionist claimed that the waitress lied because the ground floor wasn’t busy enough to open the upper levels—yet customers were already upstairs when we arrived. The inconsistent explanations and lack of honesty really soured our experience. This café certainly has potential with its lovely decor and scenic views, but it’s unfortunate that our visit was overshadowed by misleading information and poor customer service. I hope management takes note and improves transparency for future visitors, as honesty and better service would truly elevate the experience here.
