Lovely massage after a whole day of walking and shopping. Masseuse were strong and on point. They have many masseuse so there was no wait. They were really sweet and remembered to give us the same masseuse the next day without us having to remember the masseuse numbers. The massage rooms seemed clean, nice music was played for aromatherapy but the walkways and foot wash area could do with some renovation as it looks dated.
It helps that you know where you will like to them focus and make your preferences known through the massage (e.g if it’s too hard or don’t want a certain area to be massaged). It’s only fair because they don’t know until you verbalize, so my masseuse did a fantastic job with my cues.
If there’s anything I could pick on, I wish some masseuse would keep quiet during massages (they were not my masseuse so I couldn’t tell them), and I felt that their Thai massage is better than their aromatherapy massage.
I read about the forced tipping by many other reviews. While I understand tipping is non obligatory, for the amount of effort the masseuse put in, it was fair to tip them so I happily did so.
All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my massages so I felt it fair to write a...
Read moreI had a 60-minute leg, neck, and shoulder massage at Hattaleela Thai Massage, and it was incredible! The therapist really knew how to release all the tension — my body felt completely loosened up and refreshed afterward. The place has such a calm, welcoming vibe, and the service was top-notch. If you’re visiting Bangkok, make sure to stop by — it’s one of those spots you shouldn’t miss!
In few days later, I again went here for my second visit to Hattaleela Thai Massage, and it was just as amazing as the first! I had a 60-minute sports massage, and it was perfect from start to finish. They guided me to a private room, which made the whole experience even more relaxing. The therapist skillfully worked on my back, legs, arms, and shoulders — everything felt completely loosened up afterward. I left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and ready to take on the day. If you’re visiting Bangkok, this is definitely a place you...
Read moreVery uncomfortable experience!
The massage was ok, but I’ve had much better traditional Thai massages and it wasn’t the most relaxing with other people entering the room all the time, the noise and the masseuses chatting to each other constantly over the curtains.
Would have given more stars if it wasn’t for the forceful tip nature at the end where we (two of us) were literally trapped in a circle of about 6 masseuses being forced to leave a tip in a holding pen between the main entrance and massage rooms. We gave something as a collective tip as we didn’t have change to give to each therapist, and there was no way I was giving them a larger note to change up after being treated so poorly knowing that they would just keep it and not give any change. Extremely uncomfortable and very rude! There are other massage places for the same price on the same road, so avoid this...
