I rarely leave negative reviews, but in the case of Lost and Found, I simply have to. They call themselves a restaurant, but what we experienced doesn’t match that definition in any way.
We visited in mid-March. A staff member met us at the entrance and told us to go to the third floor. The first red flag — the place was still decorated for Christmas: a tree, gift boxes, holiday ornaments. In March.
Upstairs, we said we wanted to have dinner. They offered us a tiny table by the panoramic window — made from cheap particleboard. When we declined, they seated us at two low coffee tables surrounded by mismatched armchairs. Above us were Valentine’s Day decorations. Clearly, no one here cares about ambiance.
We ordered cordon bleu and a glass of wine. What we got was chicken that seemed boiled rather than fried, with a sausage instead of bacon and some random cheese inside. It was served on a tiny table that couldn’t even fit two plates, so we had to eat from our laps. When I placed the empty plate on a nearby chair, it just sat there — the waiter never took it.
Later, our friends joined us, and we ordered cocktails. The cocktails were terrible — overpriced and flavorless. Bland and boring.
The worst part? While we were finishing our drinks — and mind you, there were plenty of free tables around — the waiter kept coming over every two minutes trying to push more orders: “Would you like another cocktail?”, “How about one for your lady?”, “Maybe some more wine?” It wasn’t friendly — it was pushy. And this happened even after we had already spent quite a bit on starters, mains, wine, and cocktails.
We paid and left no tip. I have no intention of ever returning. If you’re looking for a place in Hua Hin to enjoy a good meal and a great cocktail — keep walking past Lost and Found. This is...
Read moreI feel sorry that I'm kinda disappointed with this place because many of my friends recommended me to visit since they know I'm a cocktail enthusiasm. I ordered long Island iced tea and asked them to switch from coke to diet coke. The waitress said i need to pay extra 40 thb for the diet coke bc "if we open it we have to waste it" Hmmm but what about the original coke? You should waste it too, right? I know some cheap bars use the big bottle to save the cost, although it makes the quality drops but if it's not too bad, usually the customers don't know. But you shouldn't expose yourself like that. Also, 325 thb for a glass of long Island iced tea is not cheap, especially considering you use mid-class (I don't want to say cheap) spirit, for example, kulov vodka that price
Read moreThis stylish restaurant near Cicada market has gone through a major remodel following a change of ownership. Now have 2 roof terraces, one with bar, accessible by small lift or stairs. Or you can still dine on ground floor. My partner and I always enjoy our food there, whether it be Thai or European. Always well presented on the plate, by a very talented lady chef with a occasional twist. For example, if you order chicken cordon bleu(?) It is not your usual chicken breast stuffed with ham and cheese. Hosts are charming and friendly. And frequently offer up complimentary nibbles, mango etc. Serve range of bottled beers and wine. Liked the place before, even better...
