Mamma Mia - Cucina Italiana & Pizza — Restaurant in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

We were walking along the street looking for a restaurant to have a nice dinner at and decided to give Mama Mia a chance. Menu looked great and despite not seeing many guests inside we walked in and took the table. Place was beautifully decorated and tables nicely served, waitresses were friendly and we have been greeted by the owner also. We have ordered parma ham, salmon and schnitzel. Parma ham with melon was delicious, just perfect. Our mains were far from perfect unfortunately, steamed vegetables were cold ( obviously kept in the fridge before serving), green peas were hard as a rock, mash potato was gluey and gummy, salmon was super dry and salty (may be marinated in something) served with some bottled sauce. Schnitzel was ok, but not the best. Bread was dry but olive oil was yummy. We are still wondering what is going on in the kitchen to get so many things wrong? For some reason our both cards were declined so we had to pay cash. There were nothing wrong with the cards as they were accepted everywhere else before and after dinner. It is a shame really, if food was delicious this place could have been so popular and busy, considering the central location, great imported ingredients, extensive wine list and a long history in Hua Hin. I wish all the best to Mama Mia and hope to see it...

This was my first visit to Mamma Mia, and I’ve lived here for over two years. I think I need to visit more often. The menu looks promising. I came in because I was craving spaghetti & meatballs. Surprisingly, that dish is hard to find in Hua Hin. You’re more likely to find spaghetti bolognese. Momma Mia didn’t have spaghetti & meatballs on the menu neither, so I opted for a pizza. I ordered the Mamma Mia pizza, which is ham, mushrooms, black olives, and anchovies. I was very pleasantly surprised to be served an appetizer of chicken liver crostini. It was very delicious! The pizza was delivered fast and piping hot to my table. It was very good. Cooked perfectly. Next time I will ask for extra sauce, because there was hardly any on my pizza. Would have been nice to have a little acidity to cut the richness of the toppings. The service was friendly and efficient. I felt very welcome. I was the only customer during my visit and I think I had four staff hovering nearby to quickly attend to my every need. Good...

Report; english/deutsch Mai 2023:Today I had spaghetti Gorgonzola again and this time it was like before. Lots of Gorgonzola! that's exactly how it always has to be. Now there are 5 stars again 👍! May; My heart and stomach cry 😭 because I unfortunately have to deduct one star from my beloved restaurant. Why? I always take spaghetti Gorgonzola and today it had noticeably less Gorgonzola there for me. I hope that this was just an oversight and next time I will again give the full stars, if again so much Gorgonzola in the spaghetti are, as I am actually used to here. April; That I may still experience this 🙏! The best spaghetti Gorgonzola I have ever eaten in Thailand. Spaghetti firm to the bite, just as it should be. AND best of all, they didn't skimp on the gorgonzola cheese. I am thrilled. I've actually wanted to eat here for a while, but from the outside the restaurant doesn't look very inviting. The interior of the restaurant, however, I like very much. White tablecloths and cloth napkins with pink chairs. I am glad to have taken the plunge to eat here. Ich nehme immer Spaghetti Gorgonzola und heute hatte es für mich spürbar weniger Gorgonzola dabei. Ich hoffe, dass das nur ein Versehen gewesen ist, und das nächste Mal werde ich wieder die vollen Sterne vergeben, wenn wiederum so viel Gorgonzola in den Spaghetti sind, wie ich es hier eigentlich gewohnt bin.
