Bombay Palace Restaurant حلال (Halal) — Restaurant in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

This evening we went to this restaurant for the first time. Since we didn't know what we were going to eat right away, we ordered the lemon juice...and looked further at the menu at our table. It was already clear that the lady wanted to recommend/sell as much as possible...for example lamb while we are not fans of lamb at all. At that moment I actually wanted to leave but since we had already ordered drinks we didn't... My wife asked several times what fish they use in the dish and the lady who took the order couldn't answer. She kept saying "fresh fish from the sea"....yes we know that because Hua Hin is at the sea. The food itself was good but the portions are not really big. At the end when we got the bill it was clear that they would rather not have us pay the 1310Thb by card. Paid cash, but we didn't have a "good evening" when we left. So we will definitely never go there a second time....because friendliness is...

Basically terrible.

Reheated and very bad presentation on the plate. Mutton 'God knows what ' was burned , very salty ...horrible.

Poppadoms were burned, curry was terrible. Nothing good to say about it.

Not charged or paid for this.

Basically an admission of guilt.

Now having received a reply to my initial feedback on Google , the apology from the restaurant, they can not understand why I was 'rude'. I think it was very rude to even let that food out from the kitchen in the first place. No surprise I reacted to this.

Sorry, but apologies are too late when you try to fob customer off with reheat and left overs in the hope they will not notice or complain.

Anyone can see in the photos, it was a very poor service. The lesson all restaurants should learn. Do not reheat yesterday's left overs. Fresh is the only way.

About 250 baht/meal for really small amount of food. 150 baht for mango lassie. Not worth it. Dahl and butterchicken taste the same. The food was so low in taste and such a small portion that we complained. The owner appeared and when we payed the food he was kind of arrogant and told us, that we dont have respect for thai people. He accused us to didnt gave the money in the right way to the waitress and she is upsad about it and felt disredpected by us. The waitress asked where we from, i told her we came from germany and she lought in a rediculously way about us. When i asked her whats wrong with germany she just didnt answer me. We told the owner that we feel disrespected by the treatment of the waitress and the quality of the food but they didnt react proper. Over 1000 baht for rediculous food for 2 adults and 2 children. Bad taste and the rice was cheap and overcooked. I cant recommend...
