Location - 3.6km (approx 8 min Grab ride) from Baan San Pluem which is across from Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin

We visited on Friday, April 18, 2025 at about 11:30. They were just finishing setting the tables. We were the only guests there.

Restaurant - cozy, clean, with tablecloth-covered tables. Outdoor covered seating. Full view of the kitchen near the entrance. Fans running to move the seasonably hot air.

Menu - large menu with lots of Thai choices; English included on menu.

Food - we ordered cashew chicken, pineapple rice, crispy pork stir fry, soda water & flat water. (My husband always orders Coke Zero, which they were out of, so he walked to a small market across the street for one.) Food arrived quickly and at appropriate temperature.

Price - we paid 510 baht ($15 US)

Staff - personable, helpful, professional.

Recommend - yes, if this place is within your budget, try it out. We visited because we had read so many...

We visited Moon Smile & Platoo following a recommendation from a friend and we could not have been happier with our visit. The food was incredible, and we were made to feel so welcome by Moon and the whole team. It was like we had known them for years, our boys felt like part of the family. A truly beautiful experience.

The best Thai food we have eaten not just in Hua Hin, but in Thailand. The crispy pork pad krapow will change your life.

Also als ‚Geheimtipp‘ wie meine Vorredner, kann ich das Restaurant definitiv nicht empfehlen. Es sind ausschließlich Touristen die dort essen. Und wenn man seine Anlage für ein Lokal verlässt, dass einem empfohlen wurde, ist es noch lange kein Geheimtipp.

Essen ist, wie in den unzähligen Restaurant in Thailand, lecker. Mehr aber auch nicht. Durchschnitt.

Die Köchin ist sehr sehr nett und kümmert sich gut. Die Bedienung brachte mir mein falsches Essen, rechnete ebenfalls falsch ab und wir warteten über 30 Minuten insgesamt.

Auch der Preis, die meine Vorredner erwähnen, kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Der Preis liegt deutlich über dem Durchschnitt, was mich in meiner Aussage mit dem Durchschnittstouristen bestätigt, der seine Anlage maximal ein Kilometer verlässt und es als ‚Geheimtipp‘ empfiehlt. Bitte über den Tellerrand blicken und mal 20km raus aus der Stadt fahren. Wir zahlten fast 400 Baht für die Speisen (ohne Getränke). Die die sich auskennen, wissen wie viel mehr das ist, als bei anderen guten Lokalitäten.
