Had high expectations. Pad Thai and Phuket style braised pork was ok. Asked if they had Coffee Americano since it was not displayed in the menu. They said yes so I expected real coffe, but they brought me what I am 100% certain was instant coffee powder mixed with hot water. I asked about this and was told it was Vietnamese coffee? 🧐 I’ve travelled in Vietnam for many months before and this has nothing to do with Vietnamese coffee whatsoever.. This was instant coffee powder. Good coffee makes a good day, bad coffee can p%#^ off. Had to pay for it even though I didnt drink it. Had to go buy real coffee next door. Anyways.. Super bad coffee, heed my warning all you coffee lovers.

Unexpected find in Old Phuket Town.

Serves very authentic and local style dishes. If you’re looking for a restaurant that is both affordable and value for money, look no further.

We were thoroughly impressed by the dishes served because these are the kind of food we want to eat when traveling across Asia- food or taste that is meant for the locals.

The stuffed chicken is the best and well seasoned. I’ve not seen this in most Thai restaurants back home or here in Phuket/ Bangkok.

Stir fry minched pork with basil leaves is mildly spicy but manageable. A great dish to go with the jasmine white rice.

Iced Thai tea is a little sweet but gets better as the ice melts to dilute.

I came because reviews said the food is amazing and I wasn't disappointed. The red curry I ordered was so fragrant and so rich. It is one of the best I've had in years. The portion size is also very good. I ordered the tofu and vegetables version and the curry came with a big heap of these. My husband was also very pleased with his Phad Thai. As we arrived early for lunch, we were the only table. So the food was served quickly. But if it's slow, the place offers free wifi.
