You know the saying “don’t judge a book by its cover”? i feel like it applies here… but in the other way.
food: they have SO MANY rules its a bit overwhelming (i mean i can understand why but still :/). one of the rules is that “every person must order something”, which ok ya i get it but everything felt so overpriced its kinda aggravating to be forced to order a lot of things - especially if you compare the quality+price to similar standard businesses around this area. also to our luck! all the cakes were sold out when we went in - but not a single member of staff told us on our way to the table (not just us though, we overheard the same issue happening to the table near us), trying to order the cakes and being told “we out” is just so great. kinda annoying cause we had to walk so far in it would’ve been really awkward to just get up and leave - if we knew there weren’t cakes we wouldn’t have gone in.
we ordered the nutella+banana roti, plain roti, thai coconut dessert and hot cappuccino - sadly, they were all so disappointing tears were almost shed. the poor decorating flowers on the plates were so sad too, they looked so heavily recycled cause of how shrivelled they were- they should be compensated for all the overuse they must endure :(
staff: out of all the staff members we encountered, the nicest was one of the cleaning ladies (she was so sweet

⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful Place, But Overpriced & Average Food
KorRaKang Phuket Old Town is a stylish and well-decorated café, perfect for taking photos, but unfortunately, the food doesn’t live up to the hype. The ambiance is charming, with vintage Thai decor that makes it a great spot for Instagram pictures. However, if you’re coming for the food, you might be disappointed.
📝 My Experience:
✔ 📸 Beautiful Atmosphere – The café is aesthetic and cozy, with unique decorations that reflect Old Phuket Town’s heritage. It's a great place for taking pictures. ✔ 🥘 Food is Just Okay – The food is not bad, but nothing special. The flavors are mild, and some dishes feel overpriced for what you get. It’s more about presentation than taste. ✔ 💰 Expensive for What You Get – The prices are high compared to the portion size and taste. You're mostly paying for the ambiance rather than the food quality.
❌ Things to Consider:
If you're looking for authentic, flavorful Thai food, there are better options nearby for a lower price.
Service can be a bit slow when the café is busy.
Good for coffee and desserts rather than a full meal.
⭐ Final Verdict:
If you love beautiful café vibes and Instagram-worthy spots, KorRaKang is worth a visit. But if you're coming mainly for amazing food, you might find it overpriced and underwhelming.
