MONDO Espresso & Tea Bar — Restaurant in Ratsada

This was by far the worst service experience I’ve had in Thailand. We visited this café with two elderly family members, a toddler, and a baby just over one year old. Unfortunately, we encountered two female staff members who were extremely unfriendly and unwelcoming. Their tone was harsh, as if we had done something wrong, even though we hadn’t.

They repeatedly insisted that we were not allowed to have outside drinks, even though we weren’t drinking them — they were simply placed on the table. They showed no empathy or basic courtesy, completely ignoring the fact that we had small children and elderly people with us.

To make things even more absurd, we witnessed a situation where another customer — a woman not in our group — asked to pack the remaining piece of her cake to take away. One of the staff told her she couldn’t, saying that only untouched food could be packed, but if it had already been eaten, it was not allowed. That was just ridiculous and made no sense at all.

The entire experience was uncomfortable and upsetting. We felt disrespected and unwelcome. Definitely not a place I would return to...

I’ve been coming to Phuket once yearly, and this is a new Coffee place.

They have 3 types of roast, Light / Medium and Dark Roast.

The ice latte was delicious. I ordered 2 ice lattes on my last day in Phuket before flying back.

Their crossiant is about 150 baht, so I walked down to another bakery (2-3 min) to buy crossiant at 60 baht. 😆

Love the aircon - a cooling get away from the hot weather. They open from 830am, which is one of the earliest in the area. Most cafe only open at 9am.

They have a mezzanine area. And level 2. I didn’t climb up to level 2, but mezzanine was a nice cozy space.

A great place to read a book.

This minimalist white café has a bright and airy feel, and the third-floor balcony gives you a lovely view of the city. It’s the perfect place to sit back and relax!

Best time to visit? Definitely in the morning—it’s quiet, peaceful, and ideal for enjoying your coffee.

I tried their Latte, which was super smooth and creamy, and the Banana Cake—moist, buttery, and full of flavor! But my favorite? The Basque Cheesecake—so rich and creamy, it just melts in your mouth.
