Mongkhon Nimit Temple, also known as Wat Mongkhon Nimit, is a historic Buddhist temple located in Old Phuket Town. It is known for its beautiful architecture and cultural significance. What makes Mongkhon Nimit Temple special is its distinctive Chinese-influenced architecture, which features intricate carvings, colorful artwork, and ornate decorations. The temple is dedicated to the Chinese goddess Guanyin, also known as the Goddess of Mercy, and is a popular place of worship for locals and tourists alike. While Mongkhon Nimit Temple does not serve food or offer specific attractions, it is worth visiting for its cultural and historical significance. Visitors can explore the temple grounds, admire the architecture, and learn about the local Buddhist culture. In terms of warnings, visitors should dress modestly and respectfully when visiting Mongkhon Nimit Temple, covering their shoulders and knees. Additionally, visitors should be respectful of the surroundings and avoid causing any disruptions. There are no specific restrictions to enter Mongkhon Nimit Temple, but visitors are expected to behave respectfully and follow the rules of the temple. To get to Mongkhon Nimit Temple from Phuket Town, you can take a taxi or tuk-tuk. The temple is located on Dibuk Road, which is one of the main roads in Old Phuket Town. If you're driving or riding a scooter, there is parking available in the area, but it can be limited, especially during peak hours. It's a good idea to arrive early or park in a nearby parking lot and walk to the temple.

At the corner of Soi Rommanee and Dibuk road, we see the roof of a beautiful Buddhist temple. On entering the main gate, we see a beautifully symmetrical main temple with intricate designs of the gods and beings from the Buddhist lore. Directly behind the temple are sculptures of huge bells and a meditation center adjacent to it. There are almost no people who even enter to see this temple. You can easily visit this in old Town as it lies on the road parallel to where the Night Market takes place. This temple is one of the few temples in Thailand that is looked after and maintained by the Royal Family. So, you can visit the temple grounds, but don't have access inside the temple.

Located just opposite to the old town entrance. Beautiful Buddha temple. Serene and peaceful ambience. After a long walk, I sat on a bench. Pigeons and small birds were walking on the ground. I heard a gong tolling. Then a prayer started in the hall. I sat for a while in the prayer hall and meditated listening to the ongoing prayer. I found this place more impressive than the old town. While walking to this shrine, on the corner of one street, there was a small cute temple of lord Ganesha and Atheavasheersha was playing on the loudspeaker. For some moments, I felt that I am walking in Pune.

A small, ennobled temple, is located in the old city, near the school building - Mongkol Nimit. Despite the fact that the territory is not the largest, there are enough interesting and beautiful buildings here. One of them is a chedi (stupa) - you don't often see this structure because it contains a piece of Buddha's ashes or a famous monk is buried there - one of them is located here! This is a very beautiful and majestic building - you can take unusual photos against its background.

Closer to the school building there is a small wooden building with beautiful statues of Buddha, opposite which there is a building where a practicing monk receives people, to whom they come to fulfill their wishes and other worldly requests.
