A Culinary Journey to India, Right Here in Phuket! My family and I recently had the most incredible dining experience at a restaurant in Phuket, and I simply have to share it with all of you. We've been exploring the island's stunning beaches and vibrant culture, but our taste buds were craving something different. That’s when we stumbled upon this hidden gem. From the moment we walked in, the aroma of spices like cardamom and cumin filled the air, instantly transporting us to the heart of India. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. It was the perfect atmosphere for a family meal—relaxed, friendly, and full of warmth. We ordered a variety of dishes to share, including a rich and creamy butter chicken, and some of the softest, fluffiest naan bread we've ever tasted. The kids especially loved the mild Korma curry, which was packed with flavor without being too spicy. Every dish was a masterpiece, perfectly balanced and bursting with authentic Indian flavors. This restaurant isn't just a place to eat; it's an experience. If you’re in Phuket and looking for a break from traditional Thai cuisine, you absolutely must add this spot to your itinerary. Can't Wait...
Read moreI recently visited this restaurant, and I wish I hadn't. It’s a total tourist trap. Not only are the prices extremely high, but they also slap a 17% service and VAT charge on top of the already inflated menu. Main dishes are between 260-360B, which wouldn’t be as bad if they actually included rice or naan – but no, everything is charged separately, which adds up fast.
The food itself is nothing special. They serve generic Westernized versions of Indian dishes that lack the depth and authenticity of true Indian cuisine. Authentic Indian food is known for its complex spices, fresh ingredients, and regional variety. This restaurant’s dishes felt bland, overly creamy, and catered to Western tastes, far from what you'd get in India or even a good Indian restaurant elsewhere.
To make matters worse, the service was mediocre at best. The staff seemed indifferent, and we waited far longer than expected for our food. As a final insult, I had stomach issues later that evening.
In short, avoid this place. It's overpriced, the food isn’t authentic, and you’ll end up paying far more than it’s worth for a forgettable meal. Do yourself a favor and eat...
