While strolling along Thalang Street we came across this chicken rice shop that somehow has familiar hometown vibes. Although the shop along the street has olden facade most have been refurbished nicely and the same for this chicken rice shop which also sells bak kut teh & noodles…. Somehow these dishes seems to reflect the similar food culture of the Chinese in southern Thailand with northern Malaysia. Ordering was chaotic due to language barrier and also it was a busy afternoon with many tourist customers. While I have to say it’s not the best chicken rice compared to those I’ve tried in Malaysia but on its own merit it’s very much above average with tender fresh chicken meat & nice rice texture well cooked. The wanton soup was clear & fragrant while the wanton was packed with pork meat & tasted good. Ample seating inside, cool airy interior with nicely refurbished vintage vibes certainly make this a good place for a hearty lunch along Phuket’s old town market street. Certainly worth a visit for those who are hungry as they strolled...

This shop should’ve write open at 7am -3pm ! I came here at 7am they say is not open yet ,wait till 8am shop open at 8am ! Secondly, I came here and sited here fist the other lady came behind me and I don’t understand why the staff can served the lady and let us wait here . Or because we are not Thailanese? Means this shop is crazy they don’t respect foreigners they even let us wait . Thirdly , when we Oder she tell us all pork is finnish. Later that she say pork is not ready yet need to wait for 20min or more . I’m just wondering … Bak ku Teh, pork noodles , pork rice all this not ready? How can you make write here you are open at 7am ? Even you came to take Oder is at 8am + and yet all your Pork is not ready to served! I regretted to come here .
