I have chosen this cafe because of the tiramisu(recommended by my friend) . I talked to my family about this and dragged them into this cafe . Unfortunately , I got an urgent meeting as soon as I order coffee, so I decided to have a meeting there but then the staffs kept disturbing me by saying they need a table, and asking me if I wanted to order anymore food and told me this cafe is not for working , I was in the middle of the meeting and could not end the meeting at all, I have made up my mind that I would order another cup of coffee if they had limited seats or need to hit their selling points or whatever I could do to do something as in return,. I talked to them I will buy one more coffee , give me 15 more minutes , he , I think the owner, pointed to me in a small wooden frame saying that this cafe is not a Co working space and no laptopp allowed and blah blah , I was so disappointed. I WOULD SUGGEST TO PRINT OUT AND STICK THE NOTES AT THE ENTRANCE , no one willl ever notice that small tiny notes . I Hope the owner will understand that some people still needs to reply emails and can’t refuse to join a work meeting 🥹 no matter where you are, I understand that every business has their own policy for their management but could you please understand the situation as an admin staffs, ( I believe there are more people , a coffee lover would love to have coffee during their meeting ) there are so many ways to let customers know that the cafe is not a co-working space . Please take my suggestion above or how are you going to inform the next customers about this policy or are you going to say the same way ? Ask the customer to leave as soon as they take out their laptop or tell them to leave during the meeting ? Please don’t ruin other people’s day. Well, the cake, cold pressed juice and coffee was good (got a chance to try a lot during my short visit😄) Thank you for reading my review .I will not spend my time to review this for no reason . That’s why I’m suggesting you to post a note on the entrance so that everyone will see and notice before they get in . I totally understand that it’s a small coffee shop in a busy location so I offered to buy more coffee in return cuz I know this policy during my Urgent last minute call meeting. So I asked for 3 more cups of coffee by giving you 500 THB , but you didn’t listen and told me that no laptops are allowed and asking me to leave .I just want to make it clear , I didn’t sit there for 4-5 hours, only 2 hours. And I left right away after your unique reaction of customer service during my meeting even tho I barely talked, I wasn’t making any noise to disturb others as well. Of course I wanted to enjoy coffee, food and good friendly vibe , that’s why I chose to go to cafe to spend time with my family and enjoy good food. It was not a lucky day to me I guess . I’m writing this is because you didn’t accept to hear anything or show me the sympathy at all after I have tried to offer a solution to show my sympathy. So before I leave , I showed my kindness and respect towards your nice staff with tips instead . If I knew this policy since the beginning , I wouldn’t step in to get attention by sitting there and putting myself in an...
Read moreI've been a regular visitor to this coffee shop, stopping by every couple of weeks. However today, after ordering a cup of tea and spending a couple of hours working there, I was politely asked by the owner to leave. The staff explained that the café was not a workspace. I believe it could have been handled differently, by mentioning that on a less busy day, I would be welcome to stay longer for instance. Certainly don't feel like coming back after this happening.
While I understand the need for such policies, especially on days when there is a large number of customers eager to try their coffee, I believe a clearer upfront communication could be useful.
If you want to stay longer I recommend Graph Coffee Shop next door, where they seem to be more accommodating. There, customers are welcome to stay for extended periods, even on crowded days.
Are the drinks alright? The green tea was good. Will I return or recommend the place? No, because of the customer service.
Update: The owner has just replied saying there is a sign and that I inquired whether it is allowed to use laptop or not. Not sure whether there is a sign - I might not have noticed it. And I didn't ask staff about the policy. This is simply not true.
As I have mentioned it is understandable to have such a policy, but there are other ways to ask...
Read moreThis was by far one of the worst experiences we’ve had as a family. We visited Momo’s café in Thailand and were shockingly kicked out just for being a family with children. There were no signs saying children weren’t allowed, and no clear rules — yet the owner told us, “This is too much, we can’t have this here, this is not a playground” as if our presence was a burden.
He then claimed it was a private establishment and threatened to call the police when we were simply standing up for our rights and children which he eventually did since we were standing outside after being kicked out and doing nothing wrong. What made it even worse were the racist comments saying he wouldn’t serve us and That is outright discrimination.
We were sitting quietly and respectfully, yet were treated with disrespect and hostility for no reason when the kids were just sorting out where to sit, mind you this happened in less than a minute of the kids entering the cafe. This kind of behavior has no place in any business, let alone one that serves the public. Please refer to other reviews on the same apparently we aren’t the only victims to this type of abuse of power by the owner.
We were deeply hurt and humiliated by the experience. I’m sharing this so others are aware of how this place chooses to treat people. I would not recommend...
