Pad Thai Mae Hoi Pim — Restaurant in Rayong Province

What an incredible surprise. As a gourmet I was having a very bad time in Samet until I found this place. The food is excellent, service is ultra fast. For smoothies order only watermelon or pineapple as they are fresh. Best restaurant on Samet and the only one where I allow myself to eat.

Edit : We came again and they added sugar to our pineapple juice, it was disgusting. Depending on who makes your juice is going to be natural and awesome or disgusting. Be very careful and ask them to not add sugar. I removed 1 star as adding sugar to juices is...

I waited 30 minutes for my food and still didn't receive everything I ordered. I had to ask for one dish to be taken away, otherwise, I would have missed my ferry.

The Pad Thai was disappointing—it was very small and overly sweet, with too much sauce making the noodles soggy. Was it pricey? If they doubled the portion and charged double the price, that would be fine with me. I can find Pad Thai at this price at a beachside restaurant.

ไม่รู้ว่าร้านมีมาตรฐานในการบริการนักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทยและชาวต่างประเทศเท่ากันมั้ย แต่เท่าที่สัมผัสมาวันนี้คือแย่มากค่ะ เริ่มจากเรากับสามีไปถึงเสม็ดแต่เช้า ก่อนจะเที่ยวเลยแวะหาอาหารเช้าทาน ตอนนั้นที่ร้านมีแค่ผู้หญิงชาวต่างชาตินั่งทานอยู่ 1 คน ผู้ชายที่เป็นเจ้าของร้านรึเปล่าไม่แน่ใจค่อนข้างมีอายุหน่อย เมินเราไปเลยจ้า ส่วนผู้ชายอีกคนที่อยู่หลังเคาน์เตอร์ เดินเอาเมนูมาให้สองเล่ม แทบจะกระแทกให้อยู่แล้ว ไม่มี service mind ใดๆ สักนิดแม้แต่นิดนึงก็ไม่มี แล้วพอยื่นเมนูให้ก็เดินกลับเข้าไป จนเราต้องลุกไปสั่งเอง พอสั่งเสร็จ ไม่มีถามเรื่องน้ำดื่มด้วยจ้ะ แต่ห้ามนำอาหารกับน้ำดื่มเข้ามาในร้านนะ แต่ไม่มีการเดินมาถามว่ารับน้ำอะไรเลยซักนิดเดียว เราเป็นลูกค้า เราจ่ายเงินนะ ทำเหมือนเรามาขอกินฟรีไม่มีผิด ห่วยแตกมากถึงมากที่สุด ร้านที่หรูกว่านี้และดู local กว่านี้ เค้ายัง service ดีกว่าอีก เล่าต่อ . . . เรากับแฟนทานกันไปได้สักพัก มีกลุ่มชาวต่างชาติเดินเข้ามาประมาณ 4-5 คน ผู้ที่เหมือนเป็นเจ้าของร้านที่นั่งอยู่ที่โต๊ะก็หันกลับมามอง เหมือนให้ attention ชาวต่างชาติกลุ่มนั้นนิดนึงพอเป็นพิธี แต่ก็ยังไม่พูดอะไร ไม่มีสีหน้ายิ้มแย้มหรือหยิบยื่นไมตรีให้ ส่วนผช.ที่อยู่หลังเคาน์เตอร์ก็รีบกุลีกุจอเอาเมนูมาให้พร้อมสมุดจดและยืนรอ เรากับแฟนนี่มองหน้ากันงงไปเลย และจนเราทานเสร็จก็ไม่มีใครเดินมาถาทเลยว่ารับน้ำอะไร โอเค พอจบ เลิก จะบอกว่าแล้วทำไมเราไม่เดินไปขอน้ำเค้าเองอ่ะ อันนี้็ก็งง เหมือนกันว่าร้านอาหารที่ไหนไม่ถามว่าลูกค้าจะดื่มน้ำอะไร แย่มากค่ะ 30 ปีที่กินร้านอาหารมา ร้านนี้คือร้านที่แย่ที่สุด...
