🌟 The Night My Shoe Gave Up But the Universe Didn’t 🌟
It started like any other fabulous foodie evening — I got all ready, dressed to impress with a bold outfit and my absolute favorite shoes. You know the kind: the ones that make you walk a little taller and feel like you own the night. 💃✨
My dear friend had found this hidden gem of a Thai restaurant — a true waterfront treasure tucked away from the hustle. We were both buzzing with excitement, ready to dive into bold flavors and soak in the serene views.
As we approached the restaurant, I strutted with confidence… until I felt it. That slow, sinking feeling of betrayal under my foot. Yep. My shoe — my beloved, stylish, confidence-boosting shoe — decided to dramatically fall apart right at the entrance.
And then… a twist of magic. ✨ This beautiful little Thai sanctuary requires you to take your shoes off before dining. I couldn’t help but laugh — what perfect, divine timing! The universe had my back.
Shoeless and unbothered, I stepped inside and enjoyed one of the most delicious meals, toes practically touching the water, heart full from the moment (and the food). 🥥🍜🌊
We ordered the spicy 🌶️ thai beef 🥩 and eggplant 🍆 salad 🥗 ( excellent food - very pricey considering the portion)
We also ordered the Penang beef 🥩 curry and steamed rice 🍚
Plus the spicy 🌶️ sour soup with beef 🥩 shank!! Awesome! 😎 - very tasty 😋
After dinner, I tiptoed downstairs, my friend and I quickly patched up my broken heel with a bit of tape (thank you, emergency purse stash 🙌), and I made it home — gracefully, without a hitch.
Moral of the story? Sometimes things fall apart just in time for everything else to fall into place. And also… maybe pack backup shoes. 😅👠

Read moreLast night we left having had a bad experience, but the food was great. We were sad about the experience because we showed up very hungry and excited after seeing the restaurant on tiktok, but the servers we interacted with had no customer service skills which ruined the entire vibe. In the first 2 minutes we got there we entered the restaurant ourselves as there was no greeter at the front (we assumed we could just go in and pick a seat). The view of the water was pretty with the boats passing by and I decided to quickly take a picture before picking a free spot, but someone came to scold us immediately. Instead of nicely asking if we had a reservation or asking if we would like to make one, the worker rudely scolded that we 'need to get a reservation' and pointed us to the front, where we went back to and waited for the greeter. We got seated in the top floor which was just as nice as the bottom, but the server we got was SOO rude, to the point where he wasn't even faking a smile-from the moment he came to get our orders. Throughout the dinner he never came or returned a glance at us (we wanted to order something more), so I got up and asked another waitress that I found who was nicer than him. I would have just assumed that since this is a nicer/more pricy place than typically, that the staff would treat us like human beings, but instead they talked to us as if us being there was an inconvenience, or as if we were asking them for favors (when all we were attempting to do is respectfully order food). Basically of 4 workers that we interacted with, only one was kind, which disappointed us, because if it wasn't for the horrible service, we would have loved to return for the food.
Sidenote: there was another waiter also working in our area and he seemed to be really kind, we just weren't fortunate enough to have had him as our...
