As a lifelong Thai tea enthusiast, my visit to After You Dessert Cafe was nothing short of a delightful trip down memory lane. The Thai Tea Kakigori transported me back to the carefree days of my childhood, when I'd eagerly await the sweet, creamy taste of Thai tea after school.

Upon stepping into the cozy atmosphere of the cafe, I was instantly greeted by the friendly staff, who were eager to help me navigate the menu. With their guidance, I couldn't resist ordering the Thai Tea Kakigori, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint!

When the dessert arrived, I was impressed by the presentation. The generous heap of Thai tea-flavored shaved ice was beautifully adorned with a crown of whipped cream and a drizzle of sweetened condensed milk. The vivid orange hue of the Thai tea was unmistakable, making my mouth water in anticipation.

As I took my first spoonful, the finely shaved ice melted instantly in my mouth, revealing the perfect balance of sweet and bitter flavors synonymous with Thai tea. Food is amazing, one of the best shaved ice I’ve had, but definitely need more work on cleanliness of environment. I saw a cockroach crawling over the table, but after killing it and informing the server, she didn’t bother about it… not sure if it’s because of language barrier though.

Mango sticky rice shaved ice: Definitely a must try! It taste like actual mango sticky rice, and the cream foam on top is slightly sweet and very creamy, which combines well with the mango shaved ice base. The center of the shaved ice is full of mango chunks and sticky rice. Such a unique and amazing experience.

Thai tea shaved ice: the Thai tea shaved ice combines perfectly with the cream foam on top, almost like a tea and milk combination. The center is grass jelly of some sort, which also is a surprise element that worked really well with the overall presentation

Hojicha shaved ice: just as how I would imagine, I wouldn’t say it’s the best that I’ve had but it does have some nice elements such as popped rice on top. I forgot what was in the center.

Pandan coconut custard bun: the bun is almost like layered cake with coconut frosting on top, then mochi-like texture bun beneath the frosting that then enwraps the pandan custard. I would describe the pandan center more as mousse like texture rather than custard. The dessert overall is pretty sweet...

True to After You Dessert Café's "there's always room for dessert" slogan, we've visited AYDC stores minimally thrice this trip but our first @Silom Complex outlet👍👏💪

Irresistible Chocolate Toast with Banana is sinfully nummy! Bread is so soft, fluffy and ambrosial. Each bite of the perfect trio - thick, gooey Belgian chocolate spread on toast with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream - is divine! Equally impressive is the Kakigori Affogato - 💯 enjoy the fluffy, cool texture of Kakigori with the warm, rich flavor of expresso and ice cream. All 3 beverages - Iced Matcha Latté, Iced Royal Milk Tea and Hot Latté - are made on point concentrated, smooth and satisfying! The icy drinks surprisingly don't thin out after ice melts👍👏😋

We've had a satisfying dine-in experience here @AYDC Silom Complex which has just become our new staple sweet treat spot! excellent menu at pocket-friendly welcoming and efficient staff inviting and comfortable environment pleasantly ambiance, conducive for engaging conversations or unwinding with a book Convenien location and easy accessibility (Sala Daeng BTS Station and Silom MRT Station) a big plus
