Excellent Location, Great Value, and Very Enjoyable Stay !!
The location is hard to beat if you’re after convenience, amenities, and easy access to food. Whether it’s restaurants, bars, street food, massage spots, or a quick trip to 7-Eleven or the supermarket, everything is just steps away.
The staff are always friendly, warm, and helpful, which really makes a difference during your stay. The hotel isn’t fancy in terms of facilities (and it never claims to be a 5-star place) — there’s no gym or anything like that — but it does have a small, clean pool with a few sun loungers. Sunlight around the pool varies depending on the time of day, but we never found it crowded. Most guests seem to stay here for the great location and spend much of their time out exploring.
Even though it’s in a lively area, the hotel itself feels calm and peaceful. It’s a very comfortable and clean place to come back to after a full day of soaking in everything Bangkok has to offer.
One thing to note: they do use a fairly substantial chemical insect spray inside the rooms as part of their pest control, which is understandable given the high street food traffic in the area. We’ve stayed here many times and have never seen a single insect in the room, so it clearly works. That said, if you’re sensitive to chemical sprays, it might be worth asking the staff to go a bit lighter with the application. You can also pick up a natural lemongrass or citronella spray from a nearby 7-Eleven for peace of mind — especially around door gaps or even your room’s rubbish bin, if you’re a bit paranoid about insects.
The bed might feel too soft for those who prefer a firmer sleeping surface, as they use a plush feather mattress topper — but you can always ask to have it removed if you like a harder bed. Same goes for the pillows: they’re super soft, which some people love, but if you prefer firmer pillows, it’s worth asking if they have any alternatives available.
The room is bright enough during the day, as the windows are huge and allow natural light to pour in unhindered. However, at night, the interior lighting might not be sufficient for those who prefer bright lighting, as the rooms tend to have minimal ceiling downlights and still use older-style fixtures.
The hotel provides a few desk and floor lamps to compensate, but some may still find the lighting a bit uneven or not quite bright enough — especially if you need to do work or read a book in the room at night.
Each to their own — some of the above might be a plus for you, and others a dealbreaker.
Just set your expectations right, and if you’re okay with these quirks, you’ll definitely enjoy your stay at this lovely hotel.
Perhaps if there’s one thing that we would suggest strongly to the hotel, it would be installing an extension for a handheld shower head, or, if not possible, replacing the fixed shower head with a hand-held one in the one-bedroom suites. All other room types have handheld showers, but the one-bedroom suites, which we really love, only have a fixed head. A handheld would make cleaning easier and be more practical for most guests.
We’ve always had a great experience staying here and look forward to coming...

Read moreThis is a listed 3 star hotel right next to the heart of the entertainment area of Silom. My room was the deluxe option that has more room than the classic, but having stayed in both I can say that both are of good quality for this rating of hotel. There is a small sun deck and pool. Before 11 am the sun is behind the hotel but is still a pleasant area to relax. The staff are very friendly and helpful so was able plan my stay better. The area is well known for it's entertainment, restaurants, street food and markets. There is plenty of shopping areas and money exchanges, and if you are new to Thailand, then certainly in my experience, bring cash to exchange in a money exchange along the Silom road gives you a much better rate from your home country, and certainly from the airports. I would most certainly recommend this hotel for many reasons.
Unfortunately for me the popularity of the hotel was such that I had to move out just at the start of Songkran. Be aware that during this holiday staying dry is not the easiest option and I guarantee you won't if you join the splendid water fights along the silom road less than 5 minutes walk away. This year as in some in the past the road is closed for a while, to allow for water based entertainment. I bought a premium weapon for 700 BAHT but cheaper weapons are available. You do not need one to walk along the Silom road circuit past the entertainment, but it won't stop you getting wet either way. Ammunition is about 10 BAHT usually iced cool. Having moved I used the MRT back to my new location but you have to empty your weapon before you enter the underground transport system and the air conditioning is punishing when you are utterly soaked. Taxis quiet often put plastic on the seats during this period. Though the events along Silom have a modern take, it is the Thai new year and being blessed with water is a normal Thai way of expressing this. It is certainly true to say that the wetter you get the more wetter you will get. Once fully soaked expect bowls of water to be tipped over you by Thai locals selling ammunition by the road side or even the fire service who fired up one of their water hose over the crowd. Unfortunately I do see people who come to look and get angry when a bit of water hits them. This is not the attitude you need here at this time so stay away from the Silom road during the...
