I’m a real craft beer fan and enjoyed many craft bars across Thailand and SEA, so was excited to try Tale N’ Ale. Bonus as a cat lover also.
What a thoroughly unwelcoming experience!
Arrived just before 6pm and was told the bar was full (there were about 6 people in and plenty tables vacant) - likely they were booked for later in the evening, that’s ok, so communicate that to your new customer and advise you may only have a table for a shorter period of time. We sat at the bar on quite uncomfortable bar stools.
During the time we were there (30 minutes) only one new person entered the bar and joined a table of Singha beer drinkers.
The tap selection is very poor as the photo will confirm. One cider, one berry, one pilsner and a lager by one of the least ‘craft’ companies in the world… Budweiser!
Fridge selection was OK, enjoyed a very good WCIPA by Beer Baroness from NZ. The real saving grace for this visit.
I hope others (non-Thai and Thai) have a better craft experience...

NO CAT !!! (after sitting there for a while, the staff finally told me that the owner only brings the cats on Friday and Saturday; depending on his availability) the beer selection in the fridge is good though, ngl as someone who doesn’t line beers (cannot stand hops taste, and have no clue about beers) the selection is very limited and “meh” at best I also ordered น้ำตกคอหมูย่าง (Grilled pork neck spicy salad?) the taste is not bad but it took SOOO long to arrived even though there is only us who ordered food.
not really...

They also offer a wide variety of craft beers. My favorite is the White Cat beer, which has a pinkish-red color and a unique sweet-and-sour taste. I even saw two cats in the bar, and they were so cute...
