Loved this bar! My wife and I visit Bangkok at least once a year and always try to visit a roof top bar during our stay. After visiting Cloud 47, Above Eleven, Baiyoke sky tower and Lebua sky bar to name a few, I would have to say that at the view from only 5 stories high is spectacular. Looking down over the river and across to the Grand Palace, Rama 7 bridge Wat Arun and the continuous flow of brightly lit boats is outstanding. Very reasonably priced food and cocktails (280 baht'ish) although the menu seemed to be limited to fairly simple western food, we only tried a couple of entree type dishes which were very nice and well presented. Although the place was full we were the only western visitors there so I expect they are catering for Thai locals which may explain the lack of standard Thai food on the menu? Service was great, helpful, friendly their English was very good. The place can be a little difficult to find but if you get on an orange flag river boat or take the Ferry across and get off at the Wang Lang ferry pier it's an easy 5 minute walk from there. Once on the pier just walk south down river as far as you can go then turn right and walk til you see a small lane to the left, its down the lane only a short walk on the left at the Baan Wangland hotel on the 5th floor. The bar is quite small and the best tables with a view are limited so it's best to book before...
Read moreA nice, cozy little bar on the fifth floor of the tiny Baan Wanglang hotel. The hotel is quite easy to find, not so far from the pier. The bar is on the fifth floor, which is also the highest floor of the hotel, it's not very spacious and the decoration is rather simple but gives out a relaxing vibe overall.
We went there around 6:30 which is a little too late, we missed the sunset, it would have been really pretty! The outdoor seats are all taken/reserved so i highly recommend calling for reservation in advance. Even though we got the indoor seats, the view was amazing still and we had a great time there!
Since we didn't tried any food here, i can only comment on the drinks, we got ourselves a beer (220THB) i think the price is acceptable, the average price of a glass of cocktail is around 250-300 THB.

Read moreNice elevated view over the river with views of quite a few big attractions. Drinks come quick enough, we tried two of the signature cocktails but both seemed quite weak and my non-drinker wife seemed fine(!). We ordered fries, they were a nice sized portion and came with no rush. We also ordered a Caesar salad and this seemed to take most of the evening to arrive and was mostly lettuce, dressing and Parmesan cheese. Our waitress was a trainee (clearly identified) and was a very helpful lady doing her best. The drinks promotion was causing some confusion and she was concerned she’d made a mistake but she hadn’t. The atmosphere was pleasant but the seating can get uncomfortable after a while. Overall, it’s over priced...
