Supatra River House — Restaurant in Sirirat Subdistrict

We had visited there for several times, and last time we went there there was a wonderful waitress with full of hospitality. However this time I went there on Friday 20 January 2017, our table's waiter was so rude. Waiters and waitress there are quite young but he is the only one who is quite old and seems like he is a senior waiter. It was my aunt's birthday so I did not want to complain to the restaurant, but he was really really rude. I speak Thai fluently so it wasn't a language barrier or misunderstanding. My Thai friends were angry and annoyed as well. We stayed there not more than 45 mins but as soon as we finished our dinner he came to us and said, "if you finish, I will get bills (in Thai)". I was so disappointed With his arrogant attitude. We are a couple came here for dinner, were given a choice to have outdoor next to the river or inside. We chose outdoor. We ordered omelette crab, it was thick omelette and chunks of crab on top and surrounded the omelette. Well cooked crab and delicious omelette. We also had yum with pomelo, honestly it wasn't as strong as yum som'o street food, and less sour and less spicy, perfect for me. We also ordered miang kam, a leaf with 7 sides, very tasty and not as strong as miang kam in other places, also perfect for me. I think this place has a lot going for it. In fact, that's probably why so many Chinese tourists come. However, the overall dining experience is really hampered by the management's inability control the Chinese tourist groups. They ruined my dining experience by smoking near my table, which was no smoking area. Also, the Chinese were very loud and intrusive. The food was not bad, but the tranquility of River view during sunset was completely non-existent. Perhaps, it was once a great restaurant; now, it's a tourist attraction.
