Where do we start?! We found a gem in Bophut, owned by Karinne and her husband, the boutique hotel is BEAUTIFUL and unique among Koh Samui: artisticly designed, it’s luxurious and laid back, with a clean modern Mediterranean feel, which opens right onto the beach with an amazing serene view. Karinne was nothing but open, warming, attentive, friendly, funny and trusting which made us feel safe, welcomed and relaxed. We also mixed up our booking dates and check-in times, but Karinne was so so helpful, accommodating and easy to organise things with, she also helped us a lot with recommendations, local taxi services and tours as she knows a lot of the locals. The breakfast was our favourite breakfast in Thailand lol! A full European breakfast with great coffee, which is often hard to find. Breakfast opened right onto the beach also, how can you complain with that? We stayed here twice among our 3 week travel as it’s right in Fisherman’s Village, close to everything by foot, yet quiet and private, it’s right on the beach yet right in the town. Also the beach beds and massive bean bags are perfect. The room was spotless and cleaned daily, and the rest of the staff were beautiful, friendly and comfortable to be around in general, as is the whole hotel. Also, their little puppy Lily is adorable! She gives a great family touch. You have to stay in Riviera Beach Hotel, as, not the forget, the price is outstanding also. Thanks a...
Read moreI'll admit that when we first arrived here we were a bit disappointed but that was my own fault as I hadn't done my research properly and in the absence of a pool, the sea wasn't worthy of swimming in. There was also no breakfast included. Again it was something I knew when I booked so my own fault.
Anyway, after meeting the owners and having countless jokes with Pito I began liking the place. I run an airbnb myself and I know how hard it can be to please a guest. Pito was on hand at all times if we needed anything. Any issues were sorted quickly and that is the sign of a good place and good service.
There is breakfast available at 250b every morning but we changed our schedules to suit ourselves and woke up a bit later to have brunch in several restaurants in the Village (go to the restaurant across the road in the evening, it is really good and reasonably priced!!).
We enjoyed our stay, the location is magnificent and the view is priceless, I don't think it can be beaten.
For those with kids, there is also a laundry service. I think it is 60 baht per kilo which is really helpful! We also hired a car with recommendations from Pito. No issues with the hire and all was good.
Come and enjoy your stay here but just bear in mind there is no pool BUT you can go...
Read moreWe only stayed here for 1 night before our flight back from Koh Samui the next day. ||SUCH A FRIENDLY greeting on arrival, probably the nicest hotel staff we’ve had the whole trip. Very welcoming and chatty, so thank you for that. We appreciate good service like that. They also allowed us to check in hours earlier as our room was available so that was extremely helpful as we could then leave our bags and get on with our last day. They also took our bags up to the room for us.||PERFECT LOCATION. Right in the middle of Fisherman’s Village and by the beach but with minimal noise and slept well. Room is only small but has everything you need and is very clean. Very comfy bed, flat screen tv and fridge with complimentary water. ||The ONLY slight tiny thing I can point out is that the air conditioning is directly over the bed so no matter what setting it was on it was extremely powerful and sometimes hard to get cosy with it on but then too hot without it on. But there isn’t really anywhere else it could be placed so I do understand completely. However, this would not stop me staying again and no other complaints at all, short but sweet stay! ||Keep up the good work and thank you for being so...
