After reading such good reviews we were excited to go and eat at this restaurant. When we got there, the menu, especially the specials on the wall, looked really good. The waitress was a Burmese lady who was really nice and helpful. The Thai manager, however, kept budding in with nasty comments of us asking too many questions about the menu to the waitress. She had such a bad attitude. We ordered 5 dishes and asked for a spicy seafood sauce, a typical Thai sauce available for free at most Thai restaurants. We heard the manager yelling at the waitress and said it's not available. She said there was already sauce on one of the plates which was not the sauce we were asking for. We felt really annoyed hearing that. However, 5 minutes later, the sauce showed up and she charged us 50 Baht for that sauce. One out of the 5 dishes was really good. The other 4 were not great. There are definitely better restaurants with better food and much better service. This manager is definitely NOT helping the restaurant....
Read moreAvoid this place. It poses as an authentic Thai street food/family owned restaurant but is little more than a tourist trap producing rubbish food. The staff will greet you with a lovely smile, then once you’ve sat down you’ll get extremely blunt and indifferent service while they pace up and down and judge you. Food is poor, my yellow noodles were lukewarm and still hard, with some rotten cabbage tossed on the side. Pad Thai was saucy and full of chicken bones and gristle. Atmosphere is silent and judgemental from the staff. I’m not quite sure what the other reviews saw in the food, perhaps because the portions were large they were impressed, but that is the only half decent thing about this place. Anyway, I’d rather have a small plate of good food than a large one of poor fare. Prices are at least 20 Bhat more than listed online, which was the icing...
Read moreWe've been here more than 10 times in the past 6 weeks and the variety on the menu is awesome but what is more wonderful is how every dish we had was delicious. Pad krapao with pork is consistently good (I usually ask for medium spicy to save myself from spontaneous combustion) and if you are a fan of garlic like us, definitely go for the fried garlic pepper chicken with rice! Their portions are generous and fantastic value for money. One of the few places on the island where you can see a mix of locals and foreigners dining there. For us, that was a good indicatioj of authentic Thai flavours. You can order takeaway (in English is possible) before collecting the food. Do throw away used napkins, kleenex/ tissue paper in the bin provided (as the boss would often gesture...
