Seashell restaurant — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

Good location. Beautiful beachside restaurant. It looks luxurious when walking into this large Thai wooden house. It gives you a sense of authenticity as if you were in a special place.

Unfortunately the food and service are awful.

In a luxurious Thai wooden house where one might expect the authentic Thai food, Thai noodle with meat in gravy is bland. The gravy tastes like flour slurry that is undercooked. I put nearly all of the condiments in it but it doesn't help improve the taste. The chips are cold and burger is pretty small in size.

The coconut smoothie is made from UHT coconut in a box blended with ice. The waiter said if it is a coconut smoothie, they will use boxed long life coconut milk because they charge less for it. For 70 bahts, the customers deserve only a glass of UHT coconut. This is a rip off and disrespectful to the reputation of Southern Thailand, the land of the best coconuts in the world.

I suggested the waiter to advice the customer when they place the order that the chef will use the boxed coconut milk not a fresh one to make the coconut smoothie.

The waiter did not apologise or take responsibility but said that the prices would have implied the customers itself. The fresh coconut is more expensive than the smoothie that is made from boxed coconut milk. How ridiculous!

They don't look after the customers. We had to ask for a serviette and condiments.

However, once we finish eating, the waiter stands near us, and they are quick when delivering the bill.

800 bahts for a very disappointing food and service.

Average food, awful pineapple shake and terrible service Good that this restaurant offers some healthier options, like chicken breast and brown rice. This is the only advantage though. We had to go take the menu ourselves and the look for the waiter to order. The pineapple shake was made of juice, not fresh fruit! In Thailand! Chicken cashew was super oily and sweet, with peace’s of deep fried chicken in butter. Looked like they had leftover chicken and needed to use it. Very-very unhealthy and not that tasty either. They brought us the wrong rice first (white instead of brown and coconut) and the wrong bill later. Service overall is very slow and indifferent. Definitely not...

In short: food arrived not fresh and lukewarm, waiter got mad at me for asking to warm it up.

Got here at 21:30, asked if theyre open, they said yes. When sitting down the waiter told me they are about to close the kitchen so i should order soon. I ordered immediately. They gave me a surprisingly tiny meal, the seafood was not fresh at all and it wasnt warm. I kindly asked the waiter to warm it up and he got mad and told me the plate is very warm (a sign they warmed it up in the oven). Then when giving me back my food said “i told you we are closing…”.
